Getting to Know: Andrew Roca, Head Coach of MBSC Nike Ultimate Camp at University of Central Florida
Andrew Roca is the Head Coach of the UCF Men's Ultimate team, Dogs of War. As an undergrad student, Roca played for UCF for 4 years. After graduating, he made a vow that he would return to make the team better than when he left it and he hasn’t stopped since. While being head coach Roca has led the Dogs of War to many tournament victories. Roca has also lead the Dogs to the national tournament twice in 2012 and 2013. In 2012 the Dogs tied for 5th and in 2013 they finished 2nd.

When and how did you get into playing ultimate?
"1998 in Vermont at a stay away camp. Loved it and didn't really find it again until freshman year of college 2006."
What is the favorite team you ever played for?
"Omen 2010. One of the most fun seasons I have played in my career."
What is your favorite ultimate drill?
"CKY (Most feared drill in UCF history)"
Why did you get in to coaching?
"To elevate my alma mater's program to the highest and elitist of levels."
Who is your favorite ultimate player of all time and why?
"Cameron Amey. A true leader and example of a well rounded player. Humble, aggressive, team focused and dominant on the field."
