GETTING TO KNOW...
Jason Brask - Director of the USAU Nike Ultimate Camp of Denver
When and how did you get into playing ultimate?
"I heard about the Frisbee team at Florida State from the school paper in 1989. I went out and haven't stopped playing since. I think Mud Bowl was my first tourney and I was hooked!"
What is the favorite team you ever played for?
"Johnny Bravo!"
What is your favorite ultimate drill?
"I just learned 'the grinder' at a clinic. Thought it was cool."
Why did you get in to coaching?
"My wife wanted help with a team she started at her High School in 1999."
Who is your favorite ultimate player of all time and why?
"Billy Rodriguez of Boston and NYNY. Met the dude when I was a very new player and he was already legend. He dabbled at this summer pickup we played in New Haven. He was a cool guy; national champion, becoming a doctor, doing a residence out west on the Navajo reservation, transitioning from NYNY to Boston. He basically embodied what an Ultimate player could achieve."
