Nike Soccer Camps adds New Location at University of Mary Washington

The University of Mary Washington men's soccer team won their third straight Conference Championship with a penalty kick victory over Christopher Newport University on Saturday evening in Newport News, VA. The Eagles won the penalty shootout after the game was tied 1-1 at the end of regulation and overtime. UMW claimed their 11th conference championship, most in league history.

As a result, The Eagles host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament this weekend. They play Keystone College on Saturday, and Rowan University faces Salve Regina University. Game times have yet to be announced. Saturday's winners meet on Sunday in the second round.

Nike Sports Camps is excited to work next summer with both the Men’s and Women’s UMW soccer teams. “We are pleased to add both UMW programs to our Nike Soccer Camp network,” says Renee Chapman VP of Nike Soccer Camps. “At camp, youth soccer players have the opportunity to learn from college coaches who bring a wealth of experience to the game.”

The Nike Boys Soccer Camp is scheduled to run July 10-12, 2020 and the Nike Girls Soccer Camp is set for July 13-15, 2020. Both camps are for ages 14-18 and hold Overnight or Extended Day (9AM-9PM) options. Coach Jason Kilby will direct the boys camp and Coach Scott Gerseny will direct the girls camp. Both these camps are for elite club players who aspire of playing in college.
