Nike Soccer Camps Is Excited To Team Up With New Aztec’s Men’s Soccer Coach at San Diego State University
Head Coach, Ryan Hopkins gives players a look on what it's like to be an Aztec
US Sports Camps has saturated the San Diego market, with the original Nike Boys Soccer Camp at San Diego State leading the charge. This is one of the three Nike Soccer Camp locations in San Diego for this upcoming summer. San Diego State competes in one of the top conferences in the nation and has a reputation for producing some amazing soccer talent. With newly appointed Head Coach, Ryan Hopkins running the camp, he is giving players an inside look on what it takes to be an Aztec. This camp will consist of two different programs. The residential and commuter camp will be held from August 2-4 for ages 10-18 years old. The second program is the day camp which will be held June 15-18 and July 27-30 for ages 6-12.
Beautiful weather and top-notch facilities, there is no better place to play soccer. Campers look forward to each training session as each one focuses on developing a certain skill. Every day players participate in small sided or 11v11 games. These games are opportunities to use what was taught throughout the day and apply it to the game. Soccer is just as much mental as it is physical, playing at a high level requires players to become students of the game. Coach Hopkins urges players to think creatively and find solutions to situations. Campers leave feeling more confident about their decision making and situational awareness.
Coach Hopkins is enthusiastic about the upcoming camp and says, “To partner with such a leading organization in sports was really a no brainer. I am excited to help grow the game in San Diego through our camps and to really showcase the university and our soccer program. I look forward to getting started right away!” His energy and presence are felt as soon as campers walk onto campus. A camp like no other, campers receive information on the college recruiting process through an organized college recruiting panel. This is a chance for players to take advantage and ask questions of what is expected of them and what they can do to reach the next level. The panel gives tips and highlights the dos and don’ts giving campers the edge on the competition. Coach Hopkins along with the San Diego State soccer staff and team are giving campers the chance to feel like an Aztec and help guide campers to success.
