Vogelsinger Soccer Academy Celebrates 50 Years of Educating Soccer Players
The Vogelsinger Soccer Academy announces Hubert Vogelsinger, celebrating its 50th anniversary, with appearances this summer.
San Rafael, CA: Founded in 1965 by Hubert Vogelsinger, a soccer coach, legend and educator, the Vogelsinger Soccer Academy hit an unmatched milestone this year. For 50 years, the Academy offers programs designed for the serious player who has a strong desire and motivation to be their best.
Hubert Vogelsinger came to America in 1961 and became assistant coach at Middlesex School in Massachusetts. ''The local private schools kept inviting me to help, mainly with shooting,'' said Vogelsinger. ''There wasn't enough time to go to all of them, so I suggested all the players come to one place. We had our first camp, with 60 players.''
Soon after, there was national interest, which led to the Vogelsinger Soccer Academy. Now, 50 years later, Vogelsinger Soccer Academy is still going strong. To help celebrate its anniversary, Hubert Vogelsinger is making an appearance at our Santa Barbara location, June 21st and at our North Andover location July 23rd-25th.
The Nike Vogelsinger Soccer Academy offers outstanding soccer training for players aged 8-18. The 2015 schedule features camps with day, extended day, and overnight options available. Located at four locations across the United States, the Soccer Schools are held on college and prep school campuses where students are housed in the dorms and play on the outstanding facilities these schools have to offer. Brooks School, North Andover, Mass.; The Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville, N.J.; Carthage College, Kenosha, Wis.; and UC Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, Calif.
