The Australia Softball Tour Report

Oh.my.Gosh! ...what a crazy-great 10 days in Oz we had.
33 very lucky girls and their families experienced 'down-under' as a team touring Australia and competing against like-minded young ballplayers who speak a different version of the Queen's English and drive on the "wrong" side of the road. But, fortunately, they play the same brand of competitive softball which fueled a priceless cultural exchange that was fascinating to watch and will no-doubt be remembered far beyond the wins and losses!
Most of the girls were joined by at least one parent who collectively "loved the fact that Nike incorporated 'touring the country' combined with softball" as expressed by Maya's mom, Laura, when asked about the trip.
Helena's mom, Romilie, added, "Awesome trip for softball, educational experience, meeting new people, different cultures and all around great encouraging staff."
We landed in Sydney and took in the sights. "My daughter said this was the trip of her life. Had a blast not only playing softball, but also doing tours, hanging with fellow players as well as meeting new friends, according to Paige's mom Cheryl.
Kira's dad, Graham, was impressed with how smoothly everything went. "Excellent organisation, well balanced mix of sport camp and social activities. High calibre and excellent coaching group. Global Legacy sports staff were first class in organising and maintaining the discipline of the programme and group logistics."
Kira's mom, who didn't go on the trip but handled her daughter & husband's preparation, made a point of letting us know that, "... the liaison and registration process we’re excellent. Legacy Sports were responsive and very helpful with all and any enquiries. And the feedback from Kira and Graham were that it was an amazing and well planned tour.
Jordyn's parent, Steph, added that the trip was, "Well organized, safe, GREAT coaches."
When Ava's mom, Lisa, was asked to list what she liked about the trip, she gushed about the Legacy staff saying, John & Paddy! hotel was absolutely perfect!!! breakfast daily FRESH JUICE MACHINE, timeliness of the bus, everything we saw & learned, location of hotel, new friendships, keeping busy, COACHES!!!! ...so we'll take that as a five star review?
When asked to sum up the trip, Liv's dad, Doug, said, "Seeing Australia and all the phenomenal tours etc. Manly Beach. The great people. Wonderful coaches and families. Life long friendships made. Great softball and learning from all the talent (i.e. coaches and players). John and Paddy and all of the staff were the best !!!"
Ingrid & Greg, parents of Emelia, summed it up like this, I don't think there was any specific highlights as everything was wonderful. Everything seemed to be perfectly planned out, if there were any hiccups, we never knew.
We began the trip as strangers, ended with life-long friends including both teammates and our Aussie competitors. 14 wins with one 1 loss was the tangible result, but the sights we savored and the relationships we forged made the entire experience priceless!

Nike Baseball Camps and Legacy Global Sports are once again teaming up to bring you another amazing softball and cultural experience. This all-inclusive tour of Sydney, competing against Australia's best, is geared to help take your player's game to the next level. AND, Parents are welcome and encouraged to join us!
Tour Dates: August 8th - 18th, 2019
We'll be taking two teams. One 12U team and one 16U/18U team. There are only 14 spots available per team, and space will be filled by position and all players will be briefly interviewed by Coach Diggle to determine final eligibility and acceptance.

TOUR DIRECTOR & COACH
Rob Diggle has a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State University. He's been coaching for over 40 years and has assisted over 100 student-athletes achieve their goal of playing collegiate softball. His understanding of biomechanics gives him a unique teaching edge.
Coach Diggle started out coaching baseball in high school. Then he coached baseball at Stanford for two years, followed by three years coaching at University of Washington. But when his daughter started playing softball, Rob made the switch and it's been ALL Softball ever since — for the past 25 years!
He has had the privilege to coach with All American Sports Academy 18 Gold, a nationally recognized team since 2003. Some of the athletes he has worked with include Courtney Ceo (Oregon), Ali Aguilar (Univ. of Washington and current USA National Team member) and Bubba Nichols (UCLA and National Elite Team member)!
The past 3 seasons, All American Sports Academy has placed in the top 15 at the PGF National Championships, 13th in 2017, 5th in 2016, and 7th in 2015. Obviously Coach Diggle knows his stuff! You'll be lead by a trusted and proven leader with experience and an enviable track record.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Please note all cancellations must be received in writing to the Event Manager listed. Cancellations made later than 180 days prior to departure are subject to the following scales of charges payable by the customer:
- Cancellation 120 to 91 days of event departure: $500.00 USD non-refundable (per person).
- Cancellation at/inside of 90 to 61 days of event departure: $1000.00 USD non-refundable (per person).
- Cancellation at/inside of 60 to 41 days of event departure. 100% of payment scheduled amount non-refundable (per person).
