Nike Swim Releases Dates for 2019 Competitive Swim Camp in Arizona
Registration Now Open for Arizona Swim Camp
San Rafael, CA - The Arizona Nike Swim Camp has moved to the University of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff! Instead of training in the desert heat this summer, join us in the mountains for cooler temperatures, awesome facilities and a taste of training at altitude (6,900 feet)! It is commonly known that training at altitude - where the oxygen level is considerably lower - allows athletes to increase their red blood cell count. This enables swimmers to compete more effectively at sea level because more oxygen is delivered to the muscles. Adaptation and results will vary.
Nike Swim Camps provides one of the best swim camps for competitive swimmers in the country and has attracted swimmers throughout the Southwest region and beyond. The combination of personalized filming, extensive pool sessions, and highly experienced coaches makes the 2018 camp an incredible opportunity for campers to train in Tucson at one of the nation's top Universities.
"Registration for the annual Arizona Competitive Swim Camps is now open," camp director Brandy Maben announced.
Campers will train each day in the new Wall Aquatic Center, located in the Aquatic and Tennis Complex. The center offers Northern Arizona University and the Flagstaff community one of the finest high-altitude swimming facilities in the world.
This year, Northern Arizona is offering one session of overnight and extended day camp (9:00am-9:00pm) for ages 10-18. Camp will take place June 2-6.
Swimmers, coaches, and parents interested in Nike Swim Camps can visit www.USSportscamps.com/swim or call 1-800-645-3226.
