How many years have you been directing camp?
I've been Co-Director of the Stanford Tennis Camps (junior overnight and day camps) for 9 years and Director of the Stanford Tennis School for 2 years
Favorite camp drill and why?
One of my favorite camp tennis drill is the 8ball toss feed working on kids to use proper footwork to get the ball in the strike and create their own pace.
Why did you get into coaching?
I got into coaching tennis when I was actually still playing on the professional tour. Justin Gimelstob hired me to coach him, I felt like I could really help him improve his level and that excited me. Coaching is about serving and inspiring your player. As a college tennis coach I feel like I have found my calling.
What's in your tennis bag?
My tennis bag has rackets, wrist bands, grips, string, stencils and ink, energy bars, sunscreen, water bottle, and lots of small things from my travels.
If you could "borrow" one stroke from a current pro player, who would it be and why?
Easy- Feds forehand! Who wouldn’t want the best shot in the history of the game.
Go-to Nike product/gear?
I love wearing Nike long sleeve dry fits.
