New Nike Volleyball Camp Offered in Utah this Summer
A new volleyball camp in Utah will be offered this summer to players in the Salt Lake County area. Campers can partake in a series of drills and game play at the High Country Sports Empowerment Center under the instruction of Kim Norman, former Westminster College Head Coach. The Empowerment Center is a premiere sports facility in Kearns, Utah that holds 2 full size basketball courts and 3 full size volleyball courts.
Norman currently coaches the High Country Volleyball Club national and regional teams. Her extensive volleyball resume includes coaching at the professional, collegiate, high school, and club level. In 2012, she coached the Utah Unity’s professional volleyball team, and since 1991 has been training volleyball players at the collegiate or professional level. At this Utah volleyball camp, Norman will ensure campers receive the same training as the professional and collegiate athletes she works with.
“Norman is an excellent addition to the Nike Volleyball Camps team,” says Siera Love, VP of Nike Volleyball Camps. “Her commitment to developing young athletes will be evident in the drills, demonstrations, and instruction received at camp.”
This summer volleyball program will run Monday to Thursday, 9:00am-3:00pm every day. Players of all skill levels will improve their volleyball skills and increase their confidence in a fun and competitive environment. Campers will be spilt into groups based on their ability level and age, which allows them to train with fellow athletes. Every aspect of volleyball will be covered while at camp, including positional work and live 6v6 game play.
