New volleyball camp in Wisconsin added by US Sports Camps
US Sports Camps recently announced its newest location for summer 2020 in Wisconsin. The Nike Volleyball Camp at Concordia University Wisconsin, located in Mequon, will be offered during July to players around the Milwaukee area. Campers will have a variety of programs to choose from to advance their skills. All Skills and Position Specialty camps allows players to improve their skills and become well rounded players.
Leading the camp programs is Concordia University Wisconsin Head Volleyball Coach, Janelle Katz, who is currently in her 8th season leading the team. During her time at the university, Katz led her team to back to back undefeated conference titles in 2016 and 2017 and also made NCAA Tournament appearances. Since 2014, the program has finished amongst the top three places in the conference. Players attending the camp programs this upcoming summer will get to experience Katz’s high-level instruction used by the current Falcons’ volleyball team.
“Janelle was an excellent addition to the US Sports Camps family, and we are thrilled to be offering a camp with her as the director,” states Siera Love, VP of Nike Volleyball Camps. “She has so much experience under her belt that we are sure campers will have fun learning the sport and build their confidence on the court.”
This new Wisconsin volleyball camps will be open to girls, ages 10-18, of all ability levels. During the All Skills camp, vital volleyball fundamentals will be covered to allow players to improve their techniques. In addition to the All Skills programs, our Concordia University location will offer Position Specialty clinics. Campers can hone their skills in either the Hitting, Setting or Libero position skills and gain valuable feedback on how to improve.
The final program offered will be a Serving, Passing, and Defense clinic. Under Katz’s instruction, girls will engage in focused drills that are designed to help their dig, serve, and passing form.
