Nike Volleyball Camps announces the return of a co-ed volleyball camp in New York
Nike Volleyball Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, recently announced the return of the Nike Volleyball Camp at SUNY Potsdam in Potsdam, NY for summer 2020 which will be directed by Josh Stokes.
Stokes is no stranger to a Nike Volleyball Camp as he previously directed the camp during the 2017 and 2018 camp season before taking a summer off. He currently coaches both the Women’s and newly established Men’s Volleyball Team at SUNY Potsdam. The men’s team will begin their inaugural season this spring before moving on to help at the boys' and girls' New York volleyball camp.
“I am very excited to be running camp again this summer,” exclaims Stokes. “This location will be the only co-ed volleyball camp offered in the St. Lawrence County region that has both a Women’s and Men’s NCAA Volleyball Program. Players can expect a nice mix of coaches giving them a lot of opportunities to expand their skills.”
The camp will continue to run as an overnight and extended day commuter camp, giving players the opportunity to experience the college life by staying in the dorms and eating on campus. Under Stokes's instruction, campers will have morning, afternoon, and evening training sessions that help them work on important parts of the game. Each drill is uniquely designed to help the campers sharpen their skills and understanding of the game, while also having fun with the Bears volleyball staff and players.
The camp is set to run July 26-29th and is open to boys and girls, ages 10-18, of all ability levels.
