This summer Nike Soccer Camp at Florida International University in Miami, FL offers boys and girls an unforgettable camp experience for players from the Southeast and beyond! Coach Miguel Angel and his coaching staff are dedicated to helping each camper improve their skills in a fun and safe environment.
Our Florida soccer camp at FIU is designed for U.S. and international players of all skill levels. Come train with athletes who share your love for the game, compete against other skilled players, and take your game to the next level before your upcoming season. This camp also offers a host of evening activities and socials which will be in combination with the Nike Volleyball Camp running at the same time, this camp is sure to be a summer highlight!

Originally from Germantown, Maryland, Miguel Angel has a great passion for the game and has a lot of experience playing and coaching the game he loves. He played for the DC united U23s, El Salvador national team U20 and Real Maryland FC.

Camp Instructor Matias Velazquez
Matias was born in Argentina but spent most of his childhood playing and developing his skills and passion for soccer in Paraguay where his parents are from. At the age of 14, he migrated to New York City where he spent most of his playing career and started his coaching journey. He played soccer for Flushing High school and played in College representing Queens College, Division II.

CAMP SCHEDULE
- Overnight Check-in: 11:00am on Sunday
- Day (Commuter) Check-in: 12:30pm on Sunday
- Orientation/Evaluation: 2:00pm-4:00pm coaches will evaluate campers and place them in groups. Campers not able to attend orientation and evaluations on Sunday will have the opportunity to do so on Monday morning.
- Day (Commuter) Schedule: Day 1: 12:30pm-4:30pm, Day 2-5: 8:30am-4:30pm
- All Campers Check-out: 4:30pm on Thursday
CLINICS SCHEDULE
- Check-in: 8:15am on Friday at Everglades Hall (1590 SW 111TH Ave Miami, FL 33174)
- Check-out: 4:30pm on Friday
- Program: Campers will receive position-specific training
- Thursday night stayovers are NOT included for campers extending their registrations into Friday. Campers can add the Thursday night stayover option at check-out
ATTEND MULTIPLE SESSIONS & SPORTS!
We encourage campers to maximize their camp experience by attending consecutive camp sessions and clinics. Overnight campers wanting a longer camp experience can link two or more All Skills Camp sessions together with a Weekend Stayover for an additional fee. The Weekend Stayover fee includes lodging, meals, supervision, and fun weekend activities/excursions.

CAMP PROGRAMS
Campers are encouraged to attend multiple sessions! Each program delivers something unique to help players excel in all areas of the game. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff and placed into groups based on age and ability level.
- All Skills: This program is geared towards players of all abilities. Campers will work on mastering the proper fundamentals for all positions through a mix of drills, games and competitive play.
- Specialty Clinic: This program is geared towards players looking to hone their skills in a specific position. The first Friday will be an Attacker & Goalkeeper specialty clinic which will be all about the final 3rd, scoring, and shot-stopping. The second Friday clinic will be Midfield & Positioning, players will learn how to control the game, be spatially aware and learn tips and tricks from how the maestros do it. Lunch will also be provided.
What's included in the camp fee?
- Instruction: Daily soccer instruction
- Overnight campers: Dormitory housing on campus and all meals are provided.
- Day campers: Lunch is provided.
- Clinic campers: Lunch is provided.
- Supervision: Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.
- Camp T-shirt & Prizes: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Soccer Camps t-shirt and prizes. *1-day clinics excluded.
WEEKEND STAYOVERS
Extend your stay! Overnight campers attending back-to-back sessions are encouraged to maximize their camp experience by staying the weekend between sessions. Weekend Stayovers include lodging, meals, supervision, and two off-campus activities/excursions in Miami and also include the Friday Position Specialty Clinic.

- Saturday: Supervised all-day field trip to South Beach - Lincoln Road Visit - Shopping. Lunch & dinner are provided off-campus.
- Sunday morning: Breakfast and free time before the start of Session II.
- Weekend Stayover II: July 20-23 (Thurs-Sun)
- Price: $495
- Thursday: Supervised on-campus evening activity. Dinner is provided on campus.
- Friday: Position Specialty Clinic. Dinner and mall + movie night.
- Saturday: All-day field trip to South Beach - Lincoln Road Visit - Shopping. Lunch & dinner are provided off-campus.
- Sunday morning: Breakfast and free time before the start of Session III.
- Weekend Stayover III: July 27-30 (Thurs-Sun)
- Price: $495
- Thursday: Supervised on-campus evening activity. Dinner is provided on campus.
- Friday: Position Specialty Clinic. Dinner and mall + movie night.
- Saturday: All-day field trip to South Beach - Lincoln Road Visit - Shopping. Lunch & dinner are provided off-campus.
- Sunday morning: Breakfast and free time before check out at 11:00am.
EVENING ACTIVITIES
- FIU is one of the only Nike Soccer Camps to offer off-campus activities. Don't miss out on extra fun and bonding time with your teammates! Transportation to/from activities and supervision are provided by the camp staff. Campers will depart campus for the evening activity at 6:00pm and will return to campus by 9:00pm. Overnight campers who do not wish to attend the add-on activities will remain on campus with supervision from our staff and participate in games and fun team building and social activities.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and years of experience
- Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, overnight necessities and a water bottle. A further list of 'recommended items' will be in the Information Packet.
- Facility: Lakeview Housing South
- A/C in Gym: Yes
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
HOUSING
The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change each year. Final housing information for this camp will be provided in the Information Packets, emailed to all campers closer to the camp’s start date.
- Number of Campers Per Room: 2
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual and received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Bathrooms: Within suites
- Air Conditioning: Please refer to the Camp Information Packet. A/C availability depends on our specific dorm assignment.

LINENS
Linens can be rented from Florida International University for $50/week. This fee includes sheets, bed linens, pillow, pillowcase, comforter and bath towel. You will have the option to rent linens during camp registration.
TRAVEL
Round-trip airport transportation to and from Miami International Airport is available for $250. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day. Campers cannot arrive before July 5 or leave after July 22. A camp staff member will be in contact with you as camp approaches to finalize your transportation details. Transportation will not be available for the final week of camp (July 31)
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a group of eight or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during check out. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Modesto A. Maidique Campus (MMC), the original home of FIU, takes up 5 blocks between 117th and 107th on Tamiami Trail in West Miami-Dade. Campers will utilize FIU's indoor recreation facilities.

Absolutely! Campers are encouraged to attend multiple sessions. Each program delivers something unique to help players excel in all areas of the game. Many campers will attend more than one session to further refine their skills, compete against new players, or choose a session with a different program focus.
