Led by Camp Directors Drago Dumbovic, and Polk State College Women's Head Coach Dee Shivraman, our experienced coaches provide high‑quality instruction, daily skill training, and fast‑paced games in a positive, supportive environment. For anyone looking to improve their goalkeeper skills, there will also be a goalkeeper specific training led by renowned goalkeeper coach Sandor Abraham.

    Camp Director

    Drago is an energetic and accomplished coach and camp director with over 40 years of experience in the game. His career reflects a rare blend of high-level playing pedigree, elite coaching expertise, and proven program-building success.

    He brings extensive knowledge in program management, international recruiting, athlete development, and elite competition, developed through decades of work at the youth, high school, collegiate, and professional levels. Drago has built a distinguished résumé as a community and professional soccer coach, sports facility owner, academy director, and head coach—while also competing as a former professional player.

    Drago enjoyed a 21-year decorated professional playing career across his homeland of Croatia and the United States. He was developed in the prestigious Dinamo Zagreb Academy, widely regarded as one of Europe’s premier talent-producing institutions. Notable players to emerge from the Dinamo system include Luka Modrić, Zvonimir Boban, Joško Gvardiol, Mateo Kovačić, Andrej Kramarić, and Robert Prosinečki, underscoring the elite environment that shaped Dragos' soccer foundation.

    After transitioning to the United States, Drago brought his European methodology and technical expertise into professional and collegiate coaching. He has served as Director of Elite Academies and specialized programs nationwide, consistently sharing modern European concepts, technical mastery, and a player-first development philosophy.

    Drago's European Elite Soccer Academy and summer camps regularly sell out, and his reputation as one of the country’s most respected and impactful soccer educators continues to grow each year.

    As a Director of Summer Camps and Academies across the country, Drago has earned recognition among the nation’s elite masterclass coaches.

    Dee Shivraman brings more than 30 years of coaching experience across different levels of the game to the camp. He has coached at the high school, club, and collegiate levels, developing players at every stage of the game.

    Currently, as the Head Coach of Polk State College, Shivraman is committed to building a program defined by work ethic, discipline, and excellence. His vision focuses on developing players not only as athletes, but as leaders and men of character, values that carry directly into his approach at camp.

    At the camp, Shivraman provides an environment where players are challenged, motivated, and inspired. His sessions emphasize technical development, tactical understanding, and mental growth. Participants leave the camp more confident, more prepared, and more passionate about the game.

    From 2006 to 2014, Shivraman served as the Head Coach at Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan. During his tenure, he led the program to eight conference championships, four NJCAA Tournament appearances, and an exceptional 136-12-5 record. He was honored as Regional Coach of the Year three times and coached six NJCAA All-Americans.

    Shivraman’s coaching philosophy emphasizes respect for the game, teammates, and coaches, along with character and sportsmanship on and off the field. He believes that while winning is meaningful, the true value of the sport lies in the shared journey and the lasting impact players and coaches make in their communities.

    In addition to coaching, Shivraman played professional soccer in Detroit for more than a decade. He continues to run soccer clinics across the U.S. and Europe during the offseason. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Wayne State University and a master’s degree in education from Marygrove College.

  • Sandor Abraham

    Goalkeeper Coach

    Sandor Abraham is a professional Goalkeeper Coach and educator with international experience developing goalkeepers at youth, academy, and collegiate levels. Abraham has coached goalkeepers in several professional and national environments, including the Colombian Youth National Team, U17 keepers from Dominican Republic and Honduras, and academy goalkeepers for AC Milan and Cruzeiro.

    In the U.S., he has coached with Kings Hammer (Swan City), Lakeland United FC, and currently serves as the Goalkeeper Coach at Polk State College.

    Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and currently pursuing his U.S. Soccer C License. Abraham brings a strong competitive background and a deep understanding of performing under pressure. He graduated with honors as a Physical Education Teacher and later earned certifications in Strength & Conditioning and Personal Training.

    His coaching philosophy centers on realism, efficiency, and game-driven training. Abraham focuses on decision making, distribution, aerial dominance, explosive development, technical precision, and emotional control. Every session is purposeful, competitive, and rooted in true match demands.

    He believes modern goalkeepers must lead, communicate, build play, and master the mental side of the position, guided by his core principle:

    “Talent without mentality will always have limits.”

You can expect a high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots. With that in mind, we encourage you to register now!

  • Camp Hours: 9am-12pm

SKILL LEVEL

Nike Soccer Camps provide a fun and challenging environment where players are grouped by age and ability to maximize development. Under the guidance of experienced coaches, campers sharpen their technical skills through focused training, small-sided games, and dynamic drills—building confidence and a passion for the game along the way.

GOALKEEPER ACADEMY

The Goalkeeping Academy is ran by Sandor Abraham and is available to those players currently playing goalkeeper or those who may be interested in playing. Goalkeepers of all ages and abilities are invited to attend, where they will be put in training groups of similar age and ability in order to maximize learning potential.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training from Drago Dumbovic and his staff
  • Day campers: Lunch is NOT provided
  • Supervision: Staff members provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Low camper to coach ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, swimwear and a water bottle.
  • Facility: Polk State College - Lakeland Campus
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
