Camp Director Lucas Santos
Following his academic and playing career at the University Federal of Rio de Janeiro in 2015, Lucas Santos came to the United States and began his coaching career. He started at the Challenger Sports Academy, coaching across the nation before joining Rhode Island Surf Soccer in 2020.

Camp Dates: June 30 -July 3, 2025 (Mon-Thurs)
Ages: 8-16
Gender: Coed
Half-Day Hours: 9am-12pm
Full-Day Hours: 9am-3pm
- Meals: Lunch is NOT provided. Please bring a packed lunch and snacks
- Location: John Chafee Athletic Complex
*Check-in starts 15 minutes before camp start time
ELITE CAMP DETAILS
This elite camp is designed for advanced soccer players with travel, club, and select experience. Featuring a unique elite curriculum, the camp focuses on technical mastery, tactical awareness, and high-level decision-making while maintaining a fun and age-appropriate environment. Players will be challenged through a progressive mix of drills, small-sided games, and competitive play, all aimed at helping them reach the next level.
Led by experienced coaches, the curriculum is structured to refine the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game. This camp is an excellent opportunity for players to develop their skills in a high-energy, competitive setting that prepares them for club and high school seasons.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
Instruction: Training from the experienced Rhode Island Surf coaching staff
Day campers: Lunch or snacks are not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
Supervision: Staff members are strategically placed throughout the camp to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities
Camp T-shirt: All campers receive a Nike Soccer Camp t-shirt
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY
Ratio: Low camper-to-coach ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience
Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.
Facility: John Chafee Athletic Complex
Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital
CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:
Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.
- Athletic clothing
- Soccer Cleats (no metal studs)
- Shin guards
- Water bottle
- Sunblock
- Packed lunch and snacks
- Small gym bag/backpack
SOCCER BALLS
Nike Soccer Camp Balls can be purchased during registration. Players can choose between a size 3, 4 or 5 ball, which will be shipped out before camp. Shipping is included in the listed price. Please note that it is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction. All sales are final.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
