    Gemar Lezeau is a highly experienced soccer professional with a strong background in coaching, technical program development, and club management. As the Assistant Club Director & Assistant Technical Director at Total Futbol Academy - Orange County, he has played a key role in player development, team-building, and program implementation for youth and elite-level teams. His expertise spans from designing technical curriculums to overseeing college recruitment and sports science initiatives.

    Previously, as Club Director & Chairman of the Board at Trojan FC, he successfully led the club’s strategic growth, increasing player enrollment by 900% while implementing a competitive playing philosophy. His tenure at UC Irvine (NCAA D1) as Director of Soccer Operations further showcased his leadership in recruitment, budgeting, and analytics, contributing to a championship-winning season.

    In addition to his coaching and leadership roles, Gemar is also a Professional U.S. Soccer Referee, bringing a deep understanding of the game from multiple perspectives. With experience officiating at high levels, he applies his knowledge of the laws of the game to enhance player development and coaching strategies.

    With coaching experience within the NY Red Bulls Academy and a UEFA C License, he brings a data-driven and player-centered approach to the game. A former collegiate athlete at St. Joseph’s College, he is also trilingual (English, Haitian Creole, French) and holds a Master’s in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco. Passionate about player development, global recruitment, and club growth, he continues to shape the future of soccer at all levels.

    Duncan Love played for a number of clubs in England (UK), as a Striker, before going on to gain a BSc. (hons.) Sports Science degree at UWIC (now called Cardiff Met University.)

    It was here that Duncan began his coaching journey gaining his UEFA B Licence and became one of the youngest coaches in the country to hold it.
    Duncan then went onto Captain his University first team and played in the semi-professional league of Wales which is now called the Welsh Premier League.
    Duncan also completed the first part of the prestigious UEFA A license.

    Duncan then arrived in California and was hired as the Girl's program Director of RSMSC. Duncan then went onto to play for the LA Galaxy in the MLS Reserve League and then he played for the Southern California Seahorses in the PDL (Premier Development League.)

    He also completed the USSF B National license and then became one of the youngest coaches in America to hold the prestigious USSF A License.
    Duncan has also worked for Cal South as an ODP staff coach and as a scout.

    Duncan also had University/College coaching spells, firstly at Cal State Fullerton as an assistant coach of their Women's team and then at UC Riverside, for two years, again as an assistant coach of their Women's team.

    Next Duncan went to the National Powerhouse San Diego Surf Soccer Club to coach full-time on the Girl's program under the guidance of his first coaching mentor who was Colin Chesters.
    Duncan then joined the Southern California Blues who were the number one girls club in America at the time to work with his other mentor the legendary Tad Bobak.
    Under Bobak's guidance they won a National Championship together in 2007 as Duncan was Tad's assistant coach.
    They coached together for a number of years at the So Cal Blues winning all the major titles, with Bobak as the head coach and Duncan as the understudy assistant coach.

    Duncan then founded his own club called South County Premier Soccer Club and he was also the Director of Coaching and he held this position for 7 years.
    Additionally he also founded two big and successful tournaments called the South County Premier Cup and the Champions Cup OC Tournament.

    Duncan then moved on to take a position at Cardiff City football club back in the UK in the Championship League as a performance analyst and he worked with the Under 21 reserve team whilst completing his Master's degree in sports performance analysis with a specialism in professional football/soccer.
    Duncan also stayed with the club as they were promoted to the English Premier League.
    Duncan then went on to coach in the WSL (Women's Super League) for Bristol City Women's professional team where he coached under Willie Kirk as a first team coach.
    After a management change Duncan then went onto to have a brief coaching stint at Leicester City FC Women's before landing a coaching position at Aston Villa FC on their Women's team working with their development squad and reserve team.

    Duncan has also worked as a coach educator for the FAW (Football Association of Wales), and has also contributed to coach education modules with the English FA as an invitational guest coach educator.

CAMP INFO:

This program is geared towards players of all abilities. Campers will work on mastering the proper fundamentals, techniques and advancing their overall skills and knowledge of the game. A great opportunity for players to learn through a mix of drills, games, and competitive play. With a number of different camp options for all to enjoy!

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training from the Nike Soccer Camp coaching staff

  • Day campers: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch.

  • Supervision: Staff members are strategically placed throughout the camp to provide optimal supervision and participate in all activities

  • Camp T-shirt: All campers receive a Nike Soccer Camps t-shirt

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Low camper-to-coach ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience

  • Equipment Needed: All campers must bring soccer cleats, shin guards, athletic shoes, and a water bottle.

  • Facility: Vanguard Soccer Complex

  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

SOCCER BALLS

Nike Soccer Camp Balls can be purchased during registration. Players can choose between a size 3, 4 or 5 ball, which will be shipped out once the order has processed. Shipping is included in the listed price. Please note that it is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction. All sales are final.

TEAM DISCOUNT

If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $30 discount. please fill out the Team Discount - Soccer form with the name of your group and the names of each camper enrolling in the camp and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Vanguard Soccer Camp 900x400

Vanguard University's recently completed Soccer Complex features a 75' wide by 120' long, FIFA Grade II synthetic turf field and three futsal courts featuring a sport-court surface for use in all weather. The field allows the fans to be close to the playing surface on the provided bleachers while players from both squads enjoy Avanti Sports Premier Shelter Benches. The field has been ultilized for events ranging from ECNL Club Tournaments, local high school matches, collegiate matches including NAIA National Tournament games, and for MLS clubs during preseason training camp.
