Improve your game and have serious fun
at Nike Soccer Camps

Nike Soccer Camps is thrilled to offer its winter and summer programs at Loyola Marymount University. Open to players of all ability levels, the camp offers a unique opportunity to train under Next Athletes’ staff of college coaches and athletes in a fun environment. The program focuses on position-specific training, offensive and defensive skill-work, set plays, and footwork.

Summer Overnight Camp (June 29 - July 2)

Register for our overnight camp at LMU and enjoy an immersive on-campus experience. Campers reside in the campus dormitories in adjacent rooms to the camp staff while training with current and former college coaches and athletes. The tuition includes housing, meals, fun evening activities, and college recruiting and sports psychology seminars. This program is open to players of all ability levels, ages 10-17.

Summer Day Camp (June 29 - July 2)

Nike Soccer Camps also offers a summer day camp program for local players ages 8-17. This program runs 9:00am-4:00pm (schedule varies by day) and includes daytime training only. Campers must bring their own lunch or purchase on campus.

The Nike Soccer Camp at LMU is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. The Nike Soccer Camp at Loyola Marymount University is not owned, sponsored, co-sponsored or controlled by the University.

  • Bello Alhassan

    Soccer Director

    Bello Alhassan is an assistant men’s soccer coach at Arizona Western University and serves as soccer director for Next Athletes and Nike Soccer Camps.

    Soccer Director

    Bello Alhassan returns to Arizona Western as an assistant coach after playing for the Matadors for two seasons from 2008-2010. Alhassan was an NJCAA First Team All-American as a freshman for Arizona Western in 2009, scoring 16 goals and recording nine assists, and was ACCAC Player of the Year. Earned First Team All-ACCAC and All-Region twice in his career after recording 55 points with 19 goals and 17 assists in two years. Currently holds Arizona Western’s record for more game-winning goals with six while helping the Matadors to the program’s first-ever Region I final. Following his two seasons at Arizona Western. Alhassan played two years at the University of California Irvine, playing in 34 games and helping the Anteaters to 24 wins in two seasons. Alhassan spent time playing for Santa Barbara FC in the USL2.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State University and a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Injury Management from the University of Kentucky, Kulsum has worked with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and clinical levels.

    Head Women's Soccer Coach - Cuyamaca College

    Coach Thompson is a native San Diegan and is an alumnus of Poway High School. Anais played for San Diego City College in which she earned All-Conference 1st Team honors and was the Knight's Team Captain. Anais then transferred to St. Katherine College to complete her intercollegiate career. Recently, Coach Thompson played semi-professional soccer with Albion SC's WPSL team. Her coaching career has been with Vista High and a local training company, SD Soccer Trainer, before bringing her talents to Cuyamaca.

SUMMER CAMP INFO:

  • First day check-in: Please use the linked campus map if you have any questions.
    • Overnight: 11:30am-12:00pm at Lawton Plaza
    • Day Campers: 12:00-12:30pm at Lawton Plaza
    • Orientation (All Campers): 12:30-12:45pm
  • Last day check-out: Following the closing ceremony at 12:30pm on Wednesday at Lawton Plaza
  • Meals: Meals are provided for overnight campers. Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily
  • Apparel: All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
  • Note: Following camp check-in, overnight campers will store their luggage in a secure room at Doheny Hall and return immediately to Lawton Plaza for orientation. Overnight campers will check into their dormitory after the first day of training.

CAMP INFO:

The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change each year. Please note: camp is closed to spectators during daytime hours. Parents are highly encouraged to attend orientation and the closing ceremony!

SUMMER OVERNIGHT CAMP

The overnight program includes instruction, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodation, all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff resides in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. The camp utilizes The Sports Park as its training facility.

SUMMER DAY CAMP (9:00AM – 4:00PM)

The Nike Soccer Camp, Los Angeles also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.

  • Day Camper Drop-Off (Sunday): 12:00-12:30pm at Lawton Plaza - see “Summer Camp Info” section for full details about orientation
  • Day Camper Drop-Off (Mon-Wed): 8:45-9:00am at Lawton Plaza
  • Day Camper Pick-Up (Sun-Tues): 4:00pm at Lawton Plaza
  • Day Camper Pick-Up/Closing Ceremony Location (Wed): 12:30pm at Lawton Plaza
  • Parking: Parents can use Drollinger Parking Plaza for opening and closing ceremonies. Pay to park $3/40min, use license plate number at kiosk.

PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS

Both campers and parents are invited to join us from 6:30-7:30pm on Nights 2 & 3 of camp for evening seminars. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a collegiate athlete, how to choose the right school, and more. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.

HOUSING

The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change each year.

  • Dorm: Doheny Hall
  • Number of Campers Per Room: 2 per room
  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
  • Bathrooms: Shared
  • Linens: Not included. Bring linens (Twin XL) or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel.
  • Air Conditioning: None. Campers are in their dorms for very limited hours during the daytime and nightly temperatures are typically mild. However, campers are welcome to bring a small fan.


OVERNIGHT INFORMATION

  • Check-in: On the first day of camp, check-in will be between 11:30am-12:00pm
  • Check-in Location: Lawton Plaza
    • After overnight campers check in, they will store their luggage in a secure location. Overnight campers will check-in to their dormitories in the late afternoon after the first day of training.
    • Campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
  • Check out: Following the closing ceremony at 12:30pm at Lawton Plaza
  • Meals: Day 1: Dinner | Days 2-3: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Day 4: Breakfast
  • Room Key Deposit: Please bring a $25 check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC”
  • Closing Ceremony: The closing ceremony will take place at Lawton Plaza. Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.

SUMMER DAY CAMP SCHEDULE & MEALS

  • Sunday: 12:00-4:00pm. Meals are not provided.
  • Monday-Tuesday: 9:00am-4:00pm. Meals are not provided. Day campers must pack a lunch.
  • Wednesday: 9:00am-12:30pm. Check-out is following the 12:30pm closing ceremony. Meals are not provided.
    • The closing ceremony will take place at Lawton Plaza. Parents are invited to attend! Campers and parents will depart following the closing ceremony.
  • Meals: Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Daytime training sessions
  • Overnight campers: Dormitory housing on campus, evening activities and all meals
  • Day campers: Instruction and daytime activities only. Lunch is not included
  • Supervision: Staff members reside in adjacent rooms to the overnight campers and participate in all activities
  • Camp T-shirt: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Soccer Camp t-shirt

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Ratio: Max of 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience

  • Equipment Needed: Please bring your own soccer apparel, cleats, and shin guards

  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING:

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money. Please label all luggage/equipment with an easily identifiable tag with the camper's full name and contact info.

DAY CAMPERS

Checklist of Things to Bring: We recommend Day Campers bring a daily pack with the following items:

  • Sunblock
  • Small gym bag/backpack
  • Packed lunch
  • Extra spending money ($50) and any other appropriate clothing for that day’s activities, which will be described to you on the first day of camp.

SOCCER BALLS

Nike Soccer Camp Balls can be purchased during registration. Players can choose between a size 3, 4 or 5 ball, which will be shipped out before camp. Shipping is included in the listed price. Please note that it is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction. All sales are final.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided to/from camp. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time. If there is a need for additional facilities, we may conduct camp nearby at an off-campus location. In this case, overnight campers will be bussed to this location and day campers will be dropped off and picked up at the destination. Parents will be given notice if this is the case.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
