at Nike Softball Camps

Nike Softball Camp at Salisbury University is set to be one for the books! Campers train like collegiate athletes at the Margie Knight Sea Gull Softball Stadium, building their fielding, hitting, and overall softball skills in a fast-paced, competitive environment. Led by assistant coach Jess Stoltz, now in her 12th year directing the camp, and supported by standout players from Salisbury’s nationally recognized program, athletes learn from a staff whose achievements include 27 NCAA Tournament appearances, 11 World Series trips, four national runner-up finishes, and a long history of All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American honorees.

Campers move through comprehensive skill development, progressing from fundamental instruction to advanced specialty training through structured drill rotations, competitive games, and focused sessions designed to improve performance. With small-group coaching led by Salisbury University’s prestigious athletes, players receive individualized instruction, daily demonstrations, and skill evaluations in age-appropriate groups to ensure steady improvement.

Beyond training, the camp delivers a fun, confidence-building experience, featuring team challenges, the Camper Olympics, a talent show, and daily awards. This balance of high-level instruction and engaging activities helps athletes build skills, make friends, and create lasting memories in a supportive, safe environment.

    This summer will be Jess Stoltz's 12th year directing camp at SU. She has been a part of the Salisbury Nike Camp for the past thirteen years and has thoroughly enjoyed working with up and coming young softball players throughout her time as Camp Director.

    Coach Stoltz played collegiality for four years at Capital University and served two years as a Graduate Assistant for the Gulls, helping to lead them to two National Championship Tournaments where they finished 2nd and 3rd.

    Coach Stoltz currently serves as Associate Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation at Salisbury University as well as serving as part of the Sea Gulls Coaching Staff.

    Abby is back for her fourth year at Nike Softball Camp, this year as having been an assistant softball coach for Stockton University. She had an incredible playing career at Salisbury University as a four-time NFCA First-Team All-American centerfielder, batting a career .425 with 252 hits and 194 RBI, plus school records of 247 runs, 58 doubles, and 65 home runs.

    Salisbury University Softball has been to the NCAA Division III Tournament twenty-seven times and to the Division III World Series 11 times, including the most recent season in 2023. SU has finished 2nd in the nation in 2003, 2005, 2014, and 2023. SU has produced 226 All-Conference honorees, 142 All-Region selections, and 46 All-Americans.

Please Note: Last year, camp sessions SOLD OUT at this location. You can expect high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper sports, so please be sure to register early.

Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, specific position fielding, base-running, and game situations. In addition, pitchers will have the opportunity to work with pitching instructors.

Please note: The following camp information may be subject to change- camp dates, times, coaches, location, and housing.

CAMP INFORMATION

Please note: Section 1 and Section 2 each have their own dedicated sections below.

Session 1

  • Dates: June 22-25, 2026
  • Age Group: 10-18
  • Camp Types: Overnight | Extended Day | Day Camp (8:30am-4:30pm)
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday
  • Meals:
    Day 1 – Overnight and Extended Day campers will be provided dinner; day campers will depart at 4:30pm. Be sure to eat lunch BEFORE check-in!
    Days 2 & 3 - Overnight get all three meals, Day Campers get Lunch, Extended Day get lunch and dinner
    Day 4 - Breakfast and lunch are provided to Overnight Campers; Extended Day campers and Day campers are provided lunch.

CAMP TIMES

(Session 1)

  • Check-in: 12:00pm-2:00pm on Monday for all campers at Nanticoke Hall. (Look for signage on Camden Ave). Campers should be ready to participate with softball gear starting at 2pm on the front lawn of Nanticoke Hall.
  • Check-out: Check out on Thursday is at 3:00pm at Nanticoke Hall. Campers will begin making their way back to the dorm from the softball fields at 2:45pm. Parents are welcome to watch the last session of camp from 1-2:30pm before making their way back to the dorm.
  • Day Camper Schedule:
    Monday 2:00pm-4:30pm
    Tuesday-Wednesday 8:30am-4:30pm
    Thursday 8:30am-3:00pm
    (Pick up and drop off is at Nanticoke Hall all four days).
    Extended Day Camper Schedule:
    Monday 2:00pm-8:30pm
    Tuesday-Wednesday 8:30am-8:30pm
    Thursday 8:30am-3:00pm

HOUSING

(Session 1)

  • Dorm: Nanticoke Hall
  • Campers Per Room: 2
  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
  • Linens: Please bring linens with you to camp
  • Bathrooms: Private bathrooms shared between two rooms in most dorm rooms
  • Air Conditioning: Yes
  • Dinner each day will be around 5:00pm. All campers have the option after the evening session to order food delivery, organized by their coach. Campers may leave cash in the “Camp Bank” for this purpose, and any remaining funds will be redistributed at checkout.

*Please note: Be prepared with a check for $25 as a deposit for your camper’s meal card. The check will be issued back at checkout as long as campers return their meal cards to staff. Should a camper lose her meal card, the check will be kept by SU staff and cashed as the replacement fee for the card.

INSTRUCTION & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.

  • Facility: Margie Knight Sea Gull Softball Stadium – 1150 S Division St. Salisbury, MD. Bateman St. where the parking lot is will be a one-way road. The best way to get to the field is by turning down Bateman St. from S. Division St. Indoor facilities are available during inclement weather conditions. Please be sure campers pack gym shoes for this purpose.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

This camp will have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a group of campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a discount. Please have someone contact the US Sports Camps office at 1-800-645-3226 with the names of each camper in the group and we will create a unique discount code for your group. Campers may then register individually through the website at their convenience and apply the offer code during checkout. *Discount amount varies by program. Please call for details.

The Margie Knight Sea Gull Softball Stadium opened in March 2017 with a sellout crowd of 500, including nearly 100 alumni of the program as players, coaches and support staff who were on hand to throw out ceremonial first pitches.

The Sea Gulls won the stadium's first game with late-game heroics with a three-run home run in the sixth inning to push Salisbury to a 5-3 win against Clarkson University.

Sea Gull Softball Stadium features seating for 500, a permanent ticket booth and bathrooms, as well as seating area wireless internet access for fans. The playing surface features a clay infield and artificial turf outfield, along with large, heated dugouts.

Other amenities include a press box, four batting cages and a conveniently located home and visiting bullpen.
