Tennis Tip: Measure your training

Measure Training

Everyone knows that practice is crucial to improve your game, but finding ways to measure and manage your practice can ultimately take you to the next step.

Count your shots: A focused, deliberate practice is routine among the best. If you need to work on something, measure it. Let's take forehand practice for example; set a goal for yourself that you will only end practice once you hit 100 successful forehand hits (that number may increase as you get better). This type of training can enhance any skill you need to work on. Set goals for yourself to improve your game. But find a way to measure it, so you can manage it.
