Nike Track and Field Camp at Cal State San Marcos

Sign up for the Nike Track & Field Camp at Cal State San Marcos this summer and experience a collegiate-level coaching curriculum. Next Athletes, licensed operator of Nike Sports Camps, provides the perfect environment to learn from elite-level coaches. Hosted on campus at CSUSM, campers have the unique opportunity to train where CSUSM Track & Field practices and competes. The camp is open to athletes of all ability levels, ages 10-17.

This camp will offer event-specific coaching (pending sufficient enrollment) except for the following events: javelin, pole vault, and hammer throw.
This camp is open to any and all entrants and is only limited by age, gender and number.

Westy McQueen is the owner and camp director for Next Athletes, operator of Nike Sports Camps. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, athletic development experience for each child.

Brandon Lawrence is the assistant cross country and track & field coach at Cal Poly and serves as cross country director for Next Athletes and Nike XC Camps.

Head Track & Field Coach, Biola University Sean Henning
Sean Henning took over as Biola’s Track & Field and Cross Country head coach in June 2015. He came to Biola after time at California Baptist University in Riverside, California. He attended Azusa Pacific for his undergraduate studies.

2025 OVERVIEW
- Dates: July 20-24, 2025 (Sunday-Thursday)
- Age Group: 10-17
- Gender: Coed
- Camp Type: Day, Overnight Camp
- Schedule: 9:00am-4:00pm
- Check-In: 8:45-9:00am
- Lunch: Lunch is not provided for day campers each day. Please bring a packed lunch and healthy snacks.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Morning and afternoon training sessions
- Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY
- Ratio: 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
- Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
- Equipment Needed: Please bring your water, running shoes, and lunch
- Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE
TEAM DISCOUNT: If five or more campers register together, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. Please have a team contact reach out directly to the USSC office at 1-800-645-3226 to receive a discount code to identify your group. Campers may then register through the website at their convenience and apply the coupon code during check-out.

What does my child need to bring to camp?

My child is new to the sport, do you accept athletes who are beginners in the sport?
We bring the best out of campers of all skill levels. All we require is a positive attitude.
Does the Health & Release Form need to be signed by a doctor?
Our Health & Release Form does not require a doctor’s signature. This form is required to be filled out accurately, and completed online prior to camp arrival.
