About Vianney Yamada

Vianney Yamada is a former USA Field Hockey National Team player and collegiate All-American with coaching experience at the Division I level with UC Davis and the University of the Pacific. She has spent over a decade developing athletes through Nike Sports Camps, specializing in field hockey while also expanding into multi-sports, baseball, and golf.

Her husband, Derrick, is a Nike Baseball Director who plays a key role in developing top-tier baseball programming and coaching initiatives. With his leadership in baseball and her expertise in field hockey, they bring a well-rounded approach to athlete development across multiple sports. Their combined passion for skill progression, mentorship, and high-level training has made their camps a top choice for athletes and parents alike.

"As a dedicated coach, my mission is to help kids build a strong foundation in life through the game of baseball. I believe it’s my responsibility to not only teach the fundamentals but also to help young athletes develop the physical and mental skills needed to succeed both on and off the field. Baseball teaches teamwork, discipline, and selflessness—qualities that shape character. I take pride in working with players of all skill levels, making sure every practice is both fun and rewarding. Looking forward to seeing you at camp."
