Southern States Lacrosse Showcase Charleston, South Carolina
US Sports Camps, Inc. has partnered with the coaches from Coastal Carolina University and Campbell University in offering the Southern States Lacrosse Showcase. The program will be hosted at The Citadel, located in beautiful Charleston, SC.
Southern States Lacrosse Showcase (Jan. 2-4)
Our goal is to provide the opportunity for an instructional showcase for student athletes whose desire is to play lacrosse at the collegiate level in the southern region. All coaches working the showcase will be from a southern institution and will work directly with campers in every session.
We hope to provide a positive and fun environment for campers as we develop their technical skills and lacrosse IQs. Our showcase will emphasize the importance of fundamental skills, as well as give plenty of opportunities to showcase individual talent. Points of emphasis will include, but are not limited to:
- Showcase Camp for high school players (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017s)
- Superior instruction from NCAA College Coaches and Former Players
- 10:1 camper to instructor on field ratio
- Every camper receives a reversible Nike practice jersey
- Nike and STX Prizes for outstanding play, sportsmanship and improvement
The Citadel was established in 1842 and was originally located on Marion Square in beautiful downtown Charleston, SC. Today the picturesque campus, which was moved in 1922, sits on the bank of the Ashley River. Campers will train each day on the Willson Turf Field.

Jaime Sellers is entering her third year, second season as the head coach of the women's lacrosse team at Coastal Carolina University.
In 2013, the inaugural season of women's lacrosse at Coastal Carolina, Sellers led the Chanticleers to a 5-11 overall record. Sellers also led the Chants to two conference victories, defeating Big South opponents Presbyterian College and Campbell.Read Full Bio
In addition to head coaching responsibilities, Sellers oversaw a Chanticleer defense that finished among the top in the nation, ranking 11th in ground balls per game, 26th in caused turnovers per game and 35th in draw controls per game.
Under Sellers' direction, the 2013 Chanticleers earned several accolades, including midfielder Lily Yednock and defender Maddi Ciardi earning second team all-conference honors. Academically the Chants excelled, earning IWLCA Academic Squad honors, placing 21 student-athletes on the Big South Presidential Honor Roll and having the program's first Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year in Yednock.
Sellers used the 2011-12 academic year to build a schedule, develop the infrastructure of her program and recruit a team that began competition on Feb. 15, 2013.
Coastal's lacrosse program, along with the Chanticleers' 17 other sports, compete in the Big South Conference, which added lacrosse as its 19th championship sponsored sport in the spring of 2013.
Sellers came to Coastal Carolina after three seasons (2009-11) as an assistant coach at Stanford University where she handled the defense and scouting as her main coaching responsibilities.
In 2011, Stanford reached a program-high sixth in the national ranking, setting a school record for wins (16) and goals (301) in a single season and ranking second in the NCAA in scoring (15.84 goals per game).
The Cardinal made their second consecutive NCAA playoff appearance after winning the program's seventh consecutive Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championship.
Sellers graduated from William and Mary in 2008 after a 66-goal season, breaking a school single-season record that had stood for more than 30 years and ranking 13th nationally in goals per game (3.47). That year, she earned first team All-Colonial Athletic Association honors as a midfield player adding second team All-CAA honors as a junior. Over her career, Sellers scored 108 goals, fourth-best on the Tribe all-time list, and had 19 assists for 127 points.
The native of Kennebunk, Maine, led the Tribe in six categories as a senior (goals, points, draw controls, shots, free position goals and shots on goal) and scored five game-winning goals, while earning second team IWLCA All-South Region honors and IWLCA Academic All-American recognition.
Sellers received her B.A. for business administration in marketing and a B.A. in psychology from William and Mary in 2008.
