Corey Holton

Associate Head Women's Coach - Fairfield University

Corey Holton - Associate Head Women's Coach - Fairfield University

Corey Holton is a highly accomplished collegiate coach with over a decade of head coaching experience and a proven track record of developing winning programs and elite student‑athletes. With nearly 12 seasons as a head coach and additional experience as an assistant at top NCAA programs, Holton brings exceptional leadership, tactical expertise, and a commitment to player development to the Fairfield University Women’s Soccer staff.

Before arriving at Fairfield in 2022, Holton made her mark as the head coach at Vassar College, where she led the program to a 56–43–11 record and guided the team to its first‑ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018. During her tenure, she helped coach and recruit 26 All‑Liberty League selections, two Rookie of the Year honorees, and propelled the program into the United Soccer Coaches Top‑25 national rankings—clear evidence of her ability to elevate players and teams to new heights.

Holton’s success extended well before Vassar. As the all‑time winningest coach at Concordia University (Texas), she produced a 29–21–6 record and earned ASC Coach of the Year honors in 2011. Her players thrived under her guidance, earning 15 All‑Conference selections, including the 2011 ASC Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Her coaching journey also includes impactful stops as an assistant at Notre Dame, Trinity College, and Greensboro College. While at Notre Dame, Holton helped lead the Fighting Irish to the NCAA Tournament Third Round and recruited a standout class of 11 prospects—seven with National Team experience, showcasing her strong eye for talent.

In addition to her on‑field coaching accomplishments, Holton has held key administrative roles, serving as both the Assistant Athletic Director for Student‑Athlete Welfare and the Coordinator of Student‑Athlete Development at Vassar College. Her holistic approach to coaching extends beyond the pitch, emphasizing leadership, personal growth, and student‑athlete support.

Holton holds a degree in Psychology from Elmira College and a Master’s in Sports Science from High Point University, further underscoring her dedication to understanding the mental, physical, and developmental needs of young athletes.

Now a crucial leader within a Fairfield program coming off a strong nine‑win campaign and multiple MAAC Semifinal appearances, Holton continues to bring passion, experience, and elite‑level coaching to every player she works with.
