Nils Nielsen is the Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Baker University.

Nils Nielsen is in his second year as the head volleyball coach for Baker University after joining the Wildcats in March of 2022.

In his first season at Baker, Nielsen coached an All-Conference player in Taylor Kile who was selected to the third team.

Nielsen played collegiate volleyball at Cal State Northridge from 2000-05, where he was named to the AVCA All-American Second Team in 2005. Nielsen then became a member of the U.S. Men's National Team from 2006-10. After his tenure with Team USA, Nielsen was a professional volleyball player until 2015.

Throughout his career, Nielsen coached multiple club teams in southern California and was a member of the USA Volleyball coaching staff at the 2014 and 2015 Pan American games, where he helped Team USA to a silver medal in 2014.

Nielsen then served as a volunteer assistant coach for UCLA's men's volleyball program. After coaching KC Power's 17-1 team until March of 2020, Nielsen joined the women's volleyball staff at the University of Kansas in September of 2020, where he served as a volunteer assistant coach.

Nielsen is married to Kansas assistant coach Kaitlin Nielsen, and the couple has two daughters.
