Will Beard

Will Beard is an accomplished soccer coach with a proven record of excellence at the youth, club, and high school levels. Currently the Girls Varsity Head Coach and former Boys Associate Head Coach at Sierra Canyon School, Will brings deep expertise in player development and a passion for helping young athletes reach their full potential both on and off the field.

With nearly two decades of coaching experience, Will has worked extensively in elite youth and high school soccer, beginning his career at Royal High School before moving into the club game. He has coached with Valley United Soccer Club and Barcelona FC of Pasadena, and has been a longtime member of the Real So Cal Soccer Club coaching staff, where he has helped develop players across multiple age groups since 2008. His broad experience allows him to connect with players of all abilities while maintaining high standards of development and competition.

In addition to his club and high school roles, Will has led and instructed at numerous top‑level summer soccer programs, including Cal South ODP Camps, One.Soccer Schools Summer Camps, and the Northridge Soccer Academy. His enthusiasm for teaching, combined with a positive and demanding coaching style, creates an environment where players are challenged, supported, and motivated to improve.

Will is a graduate of California State University, Northridge, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and competed as a student‑athlete for four years. As a player, he helped CSUN capture two Big West Conference Championships. He holds a USSF National “C” Coaching License and continues to bring a player‑first, development‑driven approach to every team and camp he leads.

Will is excited to share his experience and passion for the game at the Nike Soccer Camp at Sierra Canyon, providing young players with an elite, fun, and impactful camp experience.
