Nike Junior Golf Camps

Get ready for an amazing experience in Seattle, WA! Head Coach and long-time Nike Camp Director, Marc Chandonnet, offers a week-long junior overnight camp at Seattle University. Structured for players of all ability levels, camp participants enjoy this four day experience working to improve all facets of their golf game.

Each day of camp consists of work in three primary areas: driving/full swing, short-game (chipping, pitching and bunker play) and putting. Daily instruction takes place at multiple courses in the Seattle area. Other instructional topics include; course management, strategy, and rules and etiquette. Campers have the privilege of staying in dorms on the beautiful Seattle University campus. This camp is open to ages 10-18.

    Camp Director, Seattle University Head Coach

    Marc Chandonnet enters his thirteenth season as the head coach of the Seattle University men's and women's golf teams in 2022-23. To date, his teams have collected 64 total WAC All-Academic Team honorees, seven Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars and twenty-four WGCA All-American Scholars, as well as a GCAA President’s Special Recognition Award and two WGCA All-Scholar Team awards.

    Chandonnet came to Seattle U from Southwestern Oklahoma State where he served as the head men’s and women’s golf coach in 2011-12. He lead the men's team to the 2012 Great American Conference championship, the first conference title for the Bulldog men since 1997. The women's golf team finished in third place at the 2012 Great American Conference Tournament, the highest finish for that squad since 1998. During his stint with the Bulldogs, Chandonnet laid the groundwork, including beginning construction, for what is now the Everett Dobson Training Facility, which includes an 8,000-square foot short game practice area.

    Before taking the head job at Southwestern Oklahoma State, Chandonnet was the head women's golf coach at Grand Canyon University from 2004 through 2010. He also served as associate head men's golf coach from 2007 through 2009 before becoming director of golf until September 2010, guiding the Grand Canyon men's golf team to back-to-back Pacific West Conference championships in 2009 and 2010.

    Chandonnet simultaneously served as the associate athletic director for development at Grand Canyon from January 2007 through September 2010, compiling a comprehensive marketing program to help increase the athletic department's fundraising initiatives. He also provided more opportunities for alumni, staff, family, friends and organizations to become involved with the Grand Canyon athletics department.

    Chandonnet was a member of the Grand Canyon University golf team for four years. He has participated in four U.S. Amateur Opens, most recently qualifying for the 2015 United States Amateur Championship. He also qualified for the same tournament in 1998 while earning qualification for the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship in 2014.

    Chandonnet earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design in 2003 and his Master of Science degree in leadership in 2011 from Grand Canyon University. He resides in Maple Valley, Wash., with his wife and three children.

    Seattle University men's and women's golf Head Coach Marc Chandonnet has added Michelle Duan as an assistant coach ahead of the upcoming 2023-24 season.

    Duan has experience at the collegiate level, competing for two years at Nevada and two years at CSUN. At Nevada, Duan set the school record for low-round with a 66 and earned Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors. The Reno, Nevada, native transferred to CSUN, competing in 18 tournaments over two seasons with four finishes inside of the top-20. Duan served as the team captain for the 2019 season and helped lead the team to a runners-up finish at the Big West Conference Championships.

    Since graduating, Duan worked as a marketing associate with the Greater Puget Sound Solutions and volunteer coached at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Washington.

Camp Details

This program is designed for boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced level golfer, our world-class instruction and coaching provides junior golfers with the necessary skills to compete and win. These camps offer training and real competition scenarios that develop every part of your game. During the week, campers work on short game, putting, approach shots, course management, and will test their new skills in weekly competitions and 18-hole tournaments. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.

2026 OVERVIEW

    • Overnight: Sunday - Wednesday
    • Extended Day: Sunday - Wednesday
      • Sunday: 1:00pm - 8:30pm
      • Monday - Tuesday: 8:00am - 8:30pm
      • Wednesday: 7:00am - 1:00pm
    • During the week, Extended Day campers arrive around 8:00am and depart around 8:30pm after dinner. Drop off will be at Interbay Golf Center and pick up will be on campus. A more complete schedule will be given to you upon check-in.
  • Check-In: Registration for ALL campers takes place on Sunday between 1:00–2:00pm on campus at Bellarmine Hall. Please come dressed and ready to play as afternoon golf session begins immediately following check-in. Following registration and a brief staff orientation, Extended Day campers participate in course play and enjoy dinner with the overnight campers. Extended Day campers should be picked up at 8:30pm on campus following dinner.
  • Check-out: Camp graduation is at 12:30pm on Wednesday. Campers depart following the graduation ceremony at 1:00pm. Parents are encouraged to attend the graduation.
  • Meals: Overnight campers will receive all meals during camp (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Extended Day campers will be provided lunch and dinner.
  • Program: The All Abilities program is designed to improve the fundamental skills needed for golf including putting, chipping, bunker play, and full-swing. On the first day of camp, all participants will be evaluated by the instructors and placed into groups based on age and ability level in various individual, small group and full group settings.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Morning instruction and afternoon course play at a rotation of golf courses.
  • Meals: Overnight campers will receive all meals during camp (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Extended Day campers will be provided lunch and dinner.
  • Supervision: Campers are under staff supervision at all times as staff members live in adjacent rooms to overnight campers. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.
  • Camper Amenity Package: Campers will receive an amenity package including a Nike hat, drawstring bag, SRIXON golf balls, camp workbook, and graduation certificate.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio.
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience.
  • Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own golf clubs, glove, golf balls, and tees.
  • Facilities: West Seattle Golf Course, Interbay Golf Center & Lynnwood Golf Course
  • Medical Protocol: Camp will have on-site staff to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
  • Housing:
    • Dorm: TBD
    • Campers Per Room: Campers will be housed in double rooms.
    • Roommates: Campers stay in two-person, suite-style rooms and are assigned by age, gender and roommate requests. If you have a roommate request, and have not previously provided us with the information, please do so no later than 14 days prior to the camp start date. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
    • Linens: Linens are NOT provided. Please remember to bring bed linens (twin XL), pillow, blankets, and towels
    • Air Conditioning: Rooms are NOT air-conditioned. The university will provide boxed fans for each room.
    • Key Deposit: Please bring a check for $195 for the room key deposit made payable to “US Sports Camps”. If any room key is lost, the university will need to change the whole lock for security reasons. The check will be returned after the key is turned in on the final day of camp.
    • Spending Money: We recommend that each overnight camper bring $60-75 per week of spending money to cover incidentals like snacks, souvenirs and other activities. Please bring cash in a marked envelope for your child.

*Staff members reside in campers’ quarters and participate in all activities.

CHECKLIST OF THINGS TO BRING

US Sports Camps, Seattle University and the golf facilities being utilized are NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money. Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment and personal items. We recommend that you do not send unnecessary items, which can get lost. Camper bags may be inspected upon check in or at any time during camp to ensure no drugs, alcohol or other improper substances are brought to camp.

TRANSPORTATION

Nike Golf Camps does not provide ground transportation from airports, train stations or bus stations. Parents/guardians are fully responsible for getting campers to and from camp check-in/out. During the week, campers are transported to the golf course and other evening activities via private transportation. If you have a child flying to camp, please visit the Seattle-Tacoma Int’l Airport (SEA) website for information on ground service to and from the Seattle University.

Campers arriving to the Seattle/Tacoma Airport at encouraged to have a flight arrival time between 9:00am - 12:00pm on Sunday and a departure time between 2:30pm - 5:30pm on Wednesday. Campers must secure their own transportation to and from the airport.

West Seattle Golf Course

The 18-hole "West Seattle" course at the West Seattle Golf Course facility in Seattle, Washington features 6,623 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 71.0 and it has a slope rating of 119 on Blue grass. Designed by H. Chandler Egan, the West Seattle golf course opened in 1940.

Interbay Golf Center

The 9-hole "Interbay" course at the Interbay Golf Center facility in Seattle, Washington features 1,327 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 28. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, ASGCA, the Interbay golf course opened in 1997.

Lynnwood Golf Course

The 18-hole "Lynnwood" course at the Lynnwood Golf Course facility in Lynnwood, Washington features 4,741 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 65. The course rating is 62.4 and it has a slope rating of 101. Designed by John Steidel, ASGCA, the Lynnwood golf course opened in 1991.
