Nike Junior Golf Camps
Premier Golf Academy is excited to invite junior players to our newest golf camps in Rancho Bernardo at Oaks North Golf Course! Campers enjoy top-notch instruction during the week under the direction of our staff of experienced instructors.
FULL DAY CAMPS
This option runs from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and is an excellent opportunity for junior golfers to improve their skills and their course strategy at the same time. Full day campers enjoy three hours of instruction each morning focusing on all facets of the game, including full swing, pitching, chipping, putting and sand play. After lunch, which is included in the price of the camp, it’s off to play the course. During course play professionals teach strategy, etiquette and course management. The Full Day Camp is designed to create complete golfers and raise their game to the next level. This camp is available for boys and girls of all ability levels, ages 9-16.

Camp Co-Director Greg Ehlert
Greg Ehlert is a Class A Member of the PGA of America and Academy Director at Premier Golf Academy.View Greg's Bio ⟩
Greg has received awards from China Golf Channel and appeared in many golf publications for instruction. Greg has a passion for golf instruction and specializes in developing the youth golf athlete. Greg is a sought out instructor frequently working with top athletes and celebrities. Greg has developed some of the best junior players in China and has a proven training and practice program that accelerates his student’s improvement. Many of Greg’s students have gone on to compete at the top collegiate and professional levels. Greg has the highest level of education and training in the industry. In his career, Greg has competed professionally in nearly a dozen countries throughout Asia, the USA, and Europe.
Camp Co-Director Bret Knutson
Bret Knutson is a Class A Member of the PGA of America and Academy Director at Premier Golf Academy.View Bret's Bio & Golf Tips ⟩
Bret has the accreditation of Certified PGA Instructor with the PGA of America and was named Top 10 Instructor in China by Golf Magazine since 2012. Bret is also an experienced player having competed professionally on the Austrian, Challenge, and European Tours. With more than 20 years of experience, Bret has a h3 background in both playing and teaching the game of golf. His passion and dedication to junior golf show in the success of his students. Bret’s students include PGA Tour winners and top amateurs, with more than 30 students having received scholarships to play college golf. As a former player and coach at the University of Wisconsin, Bret knows how to guide juniors through the process and the training it takes to reach that level.

Assistant Instructor Jeff Bartley
Jeff Bartley is a PGA of America Apprentice and golf instructor at Premier Golf Academy. Jeff attended the world famous Golf Academy of America University where he graduated #1 in his class.View Jeff's Bio ⟩
In 2016, Jeff was awarded with the Advanced Teaching Certification for his years of study and work in the San Diego area. Jeff has also been recognized for his mastery with club fitting and adjustments with a Master Fitting Certification. Jeff is determined and committed to the training athletes at the highest level for the highest form of competition, developing juniors into the best athlete they can be.
Assistant Instructor Kevin Bruscas
Kevin is a dedicated fitness expert having competed and won many fitness titles. Kevin plays to a scratch handicap and will graduate from the Golf Academy of America in 2018.View Kevin's Bio ⟩
Kevin has a strong background in running motivational and discipline programs to help people reach their peak performance. He is a former instructor for the United States Marine Corp and lead a team for 5 years.
At Nike Junior Golf Camps we accommodate all skill levels; the junior player just discovering the game, the high school player trying to move up on the team, and the tournament level junior looking to improve his or her tournament results. Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week.Show Less See More Camp Details
A detailed camper registration packet containing check in location, health/release forms, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers in the spring.
Sample Daily Schedule
- 8:50am Check-in
- 9:00am Overview of daily schedule
- 9:15am Instruction - practice on skills and fundamentals; grip, stance, posture, pitching, putting, bunker play and full swing
- 12:00pm Lunch (half day campers depart)
- 1:00pm Course play with staff. On-course instruction on club selection, course management, strategy, rules and etiquette
- 4:00pm Full day campers depart
Oaks North Golf Course

At Oaks North, you start your day on the best driving range in North San Diego County—well organized, striped hitting area, bright targets, good golf balls, and an even better view. Check in with the friendly faces at the counter and then head out to experience the variety offered by Oaks North’s 27 holes.
All three nines are par-30 tracks with yardages from 3,417 to 3,608, each presenting its own characteristic challenges. Every golfer has an opinion about which course is the toughest or the most fun. Considering golfers can usually play 18 holes at Oaks North Golf Course in about three hours, you’ll form your own opinion.
