    Directing camp is Stacey Freda, Lexington High School’s Head Lacrosse Coach. Freda was recently inducted into the Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame.

    Stacey Freda is entering her 25th season coaching girls' and women's lacrosse. As head coach over the past 24 years, Coach Freda has successfully guided her Billerica High School, Framingham High School and Lexington High School teams to post-season appearances in each year. Her teams have enjoyed 8 League Championships, 7 Division 1 North Section Championships and 3 Massachusetts Division 1 State Titles (2006, 2007 and 2010).

    Stacey has amassed over 300 wins in her Scholastic coaching career. She has coached a total of 13 US Lacrosse All-Americans. Named the Boston Globe “Coach of the Year” in 2003 and 2010, Stacey was also honored as the Metrowest Daily News "Coach of the Year” in 2003 and 2008. In addition to presenting at regional conventions, Stacey has also been a presenter at the US Lacrosse National Convention.

    A member of the Pinkerton Academy and Plymouth State University Athletic Hall of Fame, Coach Freda holds a Masters degree in Education from Boston University as well as a Masters Degree in Sports Leadership from Northeastern University.

    She values her role as teacher and leader and uses pedagogical strategies geared at challenging all participants of various ages and skill levels. Having experienced coaching at a myriad of levels and having coached a variety of different sports Coach Freda understands the importance of using enthusiasm and creativity to develop athletes.

    Aaron Gray joined the UNH women’s lacrosse program as an assistant coach in October 2024. Gray has a robust lacrosse background spanning more than 10 years in coaching programs at various levels from Division I to high school. He comes to UNH from UMass Lowell, where he spent the 2023 and 2024 seasons as an assistant coach. The River Hawks had their best season-to-season improvement as a Division I program with six wins in 2023 and a DI program-best 12 wins in ’24, which also marked UML’s first conference tournament appearance.

    At UMass Lowell, Gray developed all positions, including goalies and draw takers, to improve technique, and skill while also developing offensive strategy. He served as the team’s director of operations and video coordinator.

    Gray was a volunteer assistant for the University of Colorado in 2021 and 2022. His responsibilities there included planning practices, developing game strategy, and serving as the video coordinator.

    Gray’s other coaching experience includes both varsity and junior varsity coach for the Sacramento Lacrosse Club in 2019. As the coach of both teams, he coordinated drills for various skill levels and met with all levels of the club to coordinate the overall vision.

    In his first coaching stint at the collegiate level, Gray spent six years at Colorado as defensive coordinator for the men’s lacrosse team. Gray’s coaching journey began as an assistant at Miami Country Day School in 2012.

    Gray graduated from Colorado in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and he earned a MBA in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University in 2013.

    Bella Tavares joins the Regis College women's lacrosse program as an assistant coach starting in the 2024-25 academic year. Tavares was a defender for the Stonehill College women's lacrosse team from 2020 to 2024, helping the Skyhawks make the transition from NCAA Division II to NCAA Division I status. She was the social media coordinator for both the women's lacrosse and baseball programs during her senior year, managing and curating content for the teams' various social media channels.

    From 2021 to 2023, Tavares was the head coach, strength and conditioning coordinator, and social media manager for Flare Lacrosse in Warwick, R.I., executing practice plans and conditioning drills with other coaches as well as designing game plans at various tournaments.

    Originally from Cranston, R.I., Tavares earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Stonehill College in May 2024. She is pursuing her master's degree in strategic communication on the sports track.

You can expect a high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early. This spring, Nike Lacrosse is offering three sessions of a half day clinic (9:00am-12:00pm) for ages 6-14.

  • Program: Are you looking to enhance your pre-season lacrosse skills, join our college headliners for 1, 2 or 3 sessions over April school vacation week this spring! Participants will be grouped by skill and age levels. Whether you are newer to the game or you are looking to grow your skills in a challenging environment, we have a skill group for you! We welcome newer town level players through the advanced club level player.
  • Program notes: 1). Jerseys are only guaranteed if the camper registers a week prior to the camp start date. 2). Our smallest jersey is a small and do not come in youth sizes.

  • Team Discount: If five or more campers register together, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. After all team members have successfully registered, contact us to receive a $25 refund per camper.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?

  • Instruction: Training sessions
  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours.
  • Reversible Jersey & Prizes: Campers will receive a Nike Lacrosse Reversible Jersey and prizes.

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & FACILITY

  • Ratio: 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio
  • Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience per the directors discretion.
  • Equipment Needed: Please bring your protective goggles, mouthpiece, cleats, and lacrosse stick.
  • Facility: The Edge Sports Center
  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

The Edge Sports Center

With an annual attendance of over 575,000 athletes and family members, the Edge Sports Center has become the premier hub as a North West Boston recreational facility. The athletic facility hosts over 260,000 youth athletes and over 85,000 adult athletes each year.

The ice rinks at the Edge Sports Center plays host to youth and adult teams from throughout New England. There are over 5,000 youth and adult hockey players that use the sports facility on a weekly basis during hockey season. In addition, many families utilize the ice skating rink for figure skating, learn to skate programs, public skating, and summer camps.
