Catching up with Loomis Chaffee Track & Field Coach Scott Purdy
Loomis Chaffee Head Track and Field Coach Scott Purdy is set to lead another year of Nike Running Camp June 24th-June 28th, 2018. Capturing seven of the last eight league titles, campers can expect to learn running skills and tactics from a coach who consistently produces championship caliber runners. Earlier this month Loomis Chaffee saw their runners capture yet another league title, and break two school records that have been intact for nearly a decade.
“It’s been happening for so long that at this point Scott Purdy and league championships are his second nature,” says Renee Chapman VP of Nike Soccer Camps. “We have been working with Scott for over 10 years now and year after year he runs a phenomenal camp.”
The camp is open to both boys and girl runners ages 10-18, looking to take their track and field ability to the next level. Campers can specialize in the event of their choice. Throw, sprints hurdles, middle distance (including steeplechase), distance (800m up to 2 mile) and jumps. Campers can choose from the day program that runs from 9am-5pm, the extended day program from 9am-9pm, or the overnight program.
