New Nike Field Hockey Camp in Rhode Island to Be Offered this Summer
Campers will utilize the inland and waterfront fields along the river and bay.
Nike Field Hockey Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, has expanded further into the Northeast, by adding a new summer field hockey camp in Rhode Island. This camp will be held at the Rocky Hill School in East Greenwich and directed by Megan Williams, Director of Athletics at Rocky Hill School and Goucher College Head Coach. Coach Williams is a very active member of the field hockey community, coaching a combination of high school, club, and college level field hockey for over 11 years.
This new northeast field hockey camp at the Rocky Hill School will take place on their 84-acre campus that sits along the Potowomut River and Narragansett Bay. This day camp will allow kids, ages 9-14, from the greater Rhode Island area, to train and compete with other field hockey players in their area.
“With top-notch coaching from both the collegiate and competitive high school level, our campers will walk away with confidence in their skills, greater knowledge of the game, and the ability to take on the fall season with more experience under their belt,” says Coach Williams. “No matter what level they come in at, we are committed to our campers leaving as better field hockey minds with a larger arsenal of skills at their disposal.”
Camp will take place on July 8-11 from 9:00am-3:00pm daily. Participants will develop proper mechanics through fun competitions and small tactical skill training groups. As an all-skills program, field hockey players of all abilities will be able to engage in small and large-scale game play that will utilize their new skills and decision making.
