Us Sports Camps Teams Up With Xplosive

US Sports Camps has teamed up with Xplosive Sports Academy to bring another field hockey camp experience to New Jersey. This popular field hockey camp in Glassboro is set to run at Rowan University and will bring a new idea to an intensive field hockey camp.

Xplosive Sports Academy was founded by Renee and Trae Toliver, former collegiate athletes in field hockey and football. At Xplosive, technology and science are used during training to evaluate athletes, which in turn allows coaches to give players individualized instruction on sport specific skills. Xplosive Sports Academy strives to give athletes the tools needed to improve in every aspect of their sport.

At the New Jersey field hockey camp, players can expect to experience the Xplosive Sports Academy technology to help them improve.

“We are excited to collaborate with Xplosive Sports Academy this summer,” says Siera Love, VP of Nike Field Hockey Camps. “We are looking forward to offering athletes a camp that is designed to enhance their skills through expert training and the use of state-of-the-art sports science technology.”

At Xplosive Field Hockey Camp, instruction will be taught by current members of the Netherlands Men’s Field Hockey Team, Billy Bakker and Micro Pruyser. Campers can experience the combination of Olympic and collegiate level training through and educational field hockey drills, full sided scrimmages, and spirited competition.

Field hockey training at camp will include stick work, offensive and defensive skills along with lessons in injury prevention, and the use of training technology used in Europe by national field hockey players. Goalies at camp can expect to learn the latest techniques on angels, positioning, and situations from specialized instructors. Campers will to participate in speed and agility training using Xplosive Sports Academy technology that tracks a player’s movement and each player will receive feedback to identify the specific areas they need to focus on during field hockey drills throughout camp.

The Xplosive Field Hockey Camp is set to run July 21-24, and is open to girls ages 13-18, of all ability levels. Players can choose overnight or extended day program, 9:00am-9:00pm, and receive 6-7 hours of training on the turf fields each full day of camp. Overnight campers will stay in the Rowan University campus dorms and eat meals in the dining halls. As a partner camp of USA Field Hockey, the Xplosive Field Hockey Camp directors are also sanctioned to make referrals to the USAFH Futures program where campers can further their knowledge of the game.

Players, coaches, and parents interested in Xplosive Field Hockey Camps can visit www.USSportscamps.com/fieldhockey or call 1-800-645-3226.
