Nike Golf Camps Adds Bowling Green State University to Family in 2014
Junior golfers in Ohio are now presented with an exciting opportunity to expand their skill set and learn from Division I coaches and players at Nike Golf Camps at Bowling Green State University.
(PRWEB) February 12, 2014 – Nike Golf Camps confirms Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio as the newest overnight location in the state. This junior golf camp in Ohio will host campers in dormitories and all golf activities take place at Forrest Creason Golf Course, a short walk from campus. The program also offers a day camp from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. giving local golfers the opportunity to hone their game close to home.
This junior golf program allows each camper to work closely with coaches due to the low student-to-teacher ratio. Morning sessions focus on putting, chipping, pitching, full swing and bunker play, while afternoons are dedicated to supervised course play. In the evenings, campers engage in activities ranging from swimming and campus tours, to movie night.
“It’s great to add another Division I program to our network of golf camps,” says National Director, Nicholas Brunner. “The Ohio junior golf landscape is one of the strongest in the nation and Coach Farrell is poised to help each camper improve at Nike Camp this summer.”
The Nike Golf Camps at Bowling Green State University are directed by Kevin Farrell. Finishing his second year as Head Men’s Coach at BGSU, Farrell is excited to continue his collegiate coaching career. Before coming to Bowling Green, Farrell spent four years coaching at Mount St. Mary’s, three years as the men’s head coach and one as the women’s.
“I am so excited to be hosting a junior golf camp at BGSU. They will get to see both our great new indoor facilities as well as our historic outdoor golf course, Forrest Creason,” states Head Coach, Kevin Farrell. “BGSU is absolutely thrilled to partner with Nike Golf Camps in 2014.”
