Adelphi University Wins Its Ninth National DII Women’s Lacrosse Championship
Coach McCabe has guided the Panthers to 3 national championships.
San Rafael, CA – The DII women's lacrosse 2019 season has come to an end. Adelphi (19-3) defeated West Chester (20-3) at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan with a final score of 11-5. Adelphi took the honor of raising the championship trophy defending their ninth national title in school history. Both schools were playing in their tenth national championship game and West Chester was on a quest for their third national title.
Adelphi started the game hot with an 8-1 lead into halftime, but the Golden Rams threw in three-straight goals to open the second half. Although West Chester showed a promising momentum swing in a rain-soaked second half, it just wasn't enough. The 11-5 victory marked a program record for the Adelphi Panthers with the most titles in Division II Women’s Lacrosse!

Directed by Adelphi Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach, Pat McCabe, the all skills lacrosse camp is designed for beginners to those with aspirations of playing in college (ages 11-18), and focuses on stick skills, position play, team concepts, and an overall intense level of competition. Discussions on what it takes to become an Adelphi Panther will be led by former and current players.
Instruction takes place each day at Adelphi University, a campus located only 45 minutes from New York City, offering a safe, suburban environment for our Nike Girls Lacrosse Camp.
