Nationally Recognized Author to Speak at the Nike Running Camps
San Rafael, CA: Three of the NIKE Running Camps have scheduled Bill Kenley, author of “High School Runner (Freshman)” to speak at camp this summer: the Green Mountain Running Camp, Meriden, NH, the Carolina Distance Camp, UNC Chapel Hill and the Smoky Mountain Running Camp, UNC Asheville.

Twice voted the most influential and inspiring teacher in his high school, Bill Kenley knows what makes a young adult audience tick. His debut novel is his fictional love letter to high-school cross country. Kenley is an award winning high school and college-level creative writing teacher, a three-time Boston marathoner with a 2:47 marathon personal best, and has a 50-miler under his belt.
The goals of the Nike Running Camps are to stimulate a love for running and to aid runners in becoming better, faster and smarter athletes. They provide an educational and inspirational experience for middle and high school runners, all skill levels and abilities.
In addition to the Nike Cross Country and Track & Field Camps, US Sports Camps offers two Nike Coaches Workshops, running in conjunction with our Green Mountain and Smoky Mountain Running Camps. The clinics present special learning opportunities for beginning coaches, (and even veteran coaches), looking for a more scientific approach to coaching their cross country teams.
