Nike Running Camps Announces a Second Wisconsin Camp Location for 2020
Youth runners in Wisconsin have two superb summertime running options slated for 2020.
This year, US Sports Camps is excited to offer two separate running camps in Wisconsin. The long- time favorite Nike Cross Country Camp in Central Wisconsin, Amherst Junction, runs July 19-23, 2020, and the new Nike Running Camp at Lawrence University, in Appleton, June 21-24. Each camp offers something a little different to runners. The Central Wisconsin Camp celebrates its 4th summer, hosting sold out camps for eager cross-country runners year after year. Unique in its approach, campers stay in cabins at CWES, on a lake, trained by some of the best coaches Wisconsin has to offer. Added this summer is the camp at Lawrence University offering track & field and cross-country training programs, offering a collegiate experience for those attending.
“It’s going to be so exciting to meet all the athletes that will attend our camp! It’s a wonderful opportunity to see what Lawrence University XC/Track and Field is all about. I hope that student athletes enjoy our beautiful campus and our beautiful city, while also running, jumping, hurdling, throwing and learning!” says Lisha Zill, assistant coach for the Lawrence men's and women's cross country and track and field programs
“We are excited to have added another option for our Wisconsin campers,” says Jan O’Connor, EVP, US Sports. “The Central Wisconsin XC Camp led by Coaches Leahy, Hopp and Solinsky is a summer staple each sold out year. Adding XC/T&F programs at Lawrence University helps broaden our summer training appeal. One camp in June, the other in July. Both camps will be fun and focused on educational and technical training.”
These are coed camps are designed for athletes of all ability levels, ages 12-18.
