Nike Running Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, announces its Summer 2020 dates for the Nike Cross Country Camp at Elmhurst College with Coach Charlie Kern
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Jan. 15, 2020
Camp Director/ Coach Charlie Kern returns for his seventh year to the Nike Cross Country Camp at Elmhurst College, IL. He brings a wealth of knowledge to runners, ages 12-18, interested in becoming better while training during their off-season. Join him for early summer training, June 11-14, 2020.
This XC Camp offers the opportunity to learn, train and improve. The instruction focuses on form analysis, pacing workouts, educational breakout sessions and fun evening activities.
At camp, their goal is to teach runners to train smarter to run faster, to develop to their full potential and push themselves to be the best XC runner and teammate. Drills to improve proper mechanics and form are incorporated daily. Mini clinics are taught by staff and guest speakers to help campers learn applicable training theory, drills, and functional core strength.
“We are excited to have local legendary Coach Kern back for another great summer. He is an amazing, motivating instructor. He hires the best staff offering the campers a great XC experience, a better understanding of training and race strategy, with other runners who share their passion for the sport,” says Jan O’Connor, EVP Nike Running Camps.
The 2020 camp is coed, all abilities. Runners are grouped for their runs based on average pace and fitness.
