NIKE RUNNING CAMPS ANNOUNCES NEW OREGON LOCATION
Lincoln High School Track in Portland, Oregon
Nike Running Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, the largest provider of sports camps in the world, announces a new running camp in Oregon. The Nike Rose City Running Camp takes place in Portland, Oregon from July 28th through August 1st and takes runners through some of the city’s beautiful trails. Coach Eric Dettman, a former Oregon Duck and head coach of the Lincoln High School Cross Country and Track and Field programs serves as the camp director. He has been at the helm of the Lincoln High School program for two years and has worked with the school for the past six years. In his short time at the school, Coach Dettman has seen three state trophy cross country teams, 13 All-State Athletes, and one State Champion.
Joining Eric Dettman this summer is his fellow Duck and brother, Matt Dettman. Coach Matt Dettman currently works with the Lincoln Youth Track and Field Program in Portland as an assistant coach. Coach Ryan Keene, a former Gonzaga runner, is also joining the Rose City staff. Coach Keene is currently in charge of the cross country and track and field at Madison High School and has been coaching for 11 years.
“We are really excited to work with US Sports Camps this summer to provide a fantastic, fun learning environment for all runners,” says Coach Dettman. “We want to focus on the fundamentals of running while exploring the mental aspect of running as well. We are very excited to meet and work with runners of all abilities this summer!”
