US Sports Camps Announces New Iowa Nike Swim Camp
Nike Swim Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, the largest provider of sports camps in the world, has announced a new Iowa swim camp location for summer 2020 at Loras College. Come join Head Swimming Coach, Nick Wyllie, who has designed a terrific curriculum to help competitive swimmers improve their stroke technique so they can compete at the next level. We cover all four strokes and provide tips that will make a difference when getting ready for race day.
Camp will be held in the beautiful San Jose Swimming Pool, used by the Loras Men's and Women's Swim/Dive teams, attached to the Graber Sports Center off of Cox Street.
“We are thrilled to work with Coach Wyllie at Loras this summer,” says Paul Merrion, VP of Nike Swim Camps. “He is such a dedicated and knowledgeable coach and knows how to coach swimmers at every skill level.”
This summer, Loras College is offering one session of day camp 9:00am-4:30pm for ages 8-18 June 8-11. This summer camp for competitive swimmers is an excellent format for campers to learn new drills, refine stroke technique, and focus on racing skills that will impact their swimming. Athletes will be challenged and engaged in a safe and supportive camp environment. Our experienced coaching staff strives to make the week a fun and memorable experience for everyone.
"Our coaches have a wealth of experience in coaching and developing age group swimmers. The coaches are on the deck working with the campers EVERY day," says camp director Nick Wyllie. "We want each swimmer to leave camp a better swimmer than when they came and to instill a life long joy in the sport of swimming."
