UNT Swim Coach Brittany Roth Named Coach of the Year In Conference USA
San Rafael, CA - University of North Texas Head coach, Brittany Roth, was named the Co-Coach of the Year for the program's best year under her leadership. She shares the honor with Rice's Seth Huston.
North Texas swim and dive wrapped a historic Conference USA Championship on Saturday. The Mean Green finished third as a team with 522 points, the highest placing since the program entered C-USA.
"These student-athletes made what was once a dream a reality," head coach Brittany Roth said. "For the first time ever, every student-athlete contributed to our team's point total, I am most proud to show this was a total team effort. We had great performances all weekend, and these girls fought together event by event."
In all, North Texas set six new school records while also having two national qualifiers.
"Our freshmen came in ready to fight," Roth said. "Our seniors have had a huge role in transforming this team and setting the standard. It's exciting to think of the impact this season will have on this program in the foreseeable future. It's a great day to be part of the Mean Green family."

Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the University of North Texas and it's first class facilities provide the perfect location to train and improve your technique.
The camp curriculum is designed for competitive swimmers to improve their stroke technique through individual stroke analysis/instruction during multiple pool sessions each day. Instruction takes place each day at the Pohl Recreation Center & PEB Natatorium. Each camper is instructed in small groups with other swimmers of similar skill level by the camp director, coaches, and counselors.
This summer, North Texas is offering two weeks of competitive swim camps in 2019 (June 2-5 & June 16-19) with overnight and day camp options available. Our first session offered is a Complete Stroke Technique Camp for Ages 8-17. Our second session offered is an Advanced Stroke Technique Camp Ages 11-18.
