Nike Track & Field Camps Director Scott Purdy sees success at Indoor Nationals
Coach Scott Purdy, director of the Nike Track & Field Camp at the Loomis Chaffee School and head men's track & field coach at Loomis, finished the indoor track & field season with success at the High School Indoor Nationals in Boston.
This past March, two of Purdy's athletes competed in the High School Indoor National Championships. In the triple jump, senior Orion Browne finished 5th at 48-3.5, earning All-American honors. On the distance side, sophomore Alex Fisher finished 13th overall and second-fastest sophomore in the 2-mile in 9:03.17. He also was the fastest sophomore in the mile, at 4:16.41.
The 2024 High School Nationals Indoor track & field championships returned to Boston March 7 – March 10. The historical meet brings the best in high school track & field to compete at the TRACK at the Boston Landing Track & Field complex and the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center. Qualified athletes get the chance to compete against the best for a chance to win a national title and celebrate the close of their indoor season.
