Nike Volleyball Camp at Sierra Canyon School
New Nike Volleyball Camp in California Added in San Fernando Valley
Nike Volleyball Camps, a division of US Sports Camps the largest provider of sports camps in the world, has added a new volleyball camp in San Fernando Valley. This camp is set to run in Chatsworth, CA at Sierra Canyon High School, and will be directed by Stefanie Wigfall, Sierra Canyon Head Volleyball Coach.
Stefanie Wigfall is an no stranger to coaching top notch teams. As a six-year varsity coach, she has led the team a back to back CIF Southern Section Championships, a California State Championship, and posts a 137-31 overall record. In 2017, she was named the National AVCA 14s Club Coach of the Year, CIF Southern Section Division II Coach of the Year, and the Los Angeles Daily News Coach of the Year. Wigfall’s extensive coaching knowledge is sure to help volleyball players improve their skills at this summer volleyball camp in Los Angeles area.
"I am beyond excited to direct the first Nike Volleyball Camp at Sierra Canyon and our plans for the camp are coming together so perfectly” says Stefanie Wigfall. “We hope to create a challenging yet fun camp experience. We want the kids to learn something new every day, and help to foster or even create that love for volleyball”
This girls volleyball camp is for players of all ability that have a strong desire to improve in the sport. Participants can expect high energy drills, intensive game-play, and focus on learning how to become a better teammate. For positional work, campers will participate in drills showcasing the latest techniques used by elite athletes. This day camp is set to run July 15-19 and Aug 12-16 from 9:00am-3:00pm each day. Players can choose to attend both sessions, which will enhance their volleyball skills even further.
“This camp will be a great fit for all volleyball players, as we will individualize the program to create your ideal experience,” explained Wigfall. “All school and club affiliations will be welcome and encouraged to attend. Campers will increase their skills and volleyball IQ, which will set a strong foundation for the upcoming season!”
