Nike Volleyball Camps Adds New Overnight Volleyball Camp in Utah
Nike Volleyball Camps, a division of US Sports Camps, the largest provider of sports camps in the world, has added a new overnight volleyball camp in Utah. This camp is set to run at the University of Utah, and will be directed by Stephanie Jones-Morin, Head Volleyball Coach at Westminster College in Salt Lake City. The addition of a volleyball camp means that more players from the Salt Lake City area will have the chance to train, compete, and improve.
Jones-Morin was just recently named the interim head volleyball coach at Westminster College after serving as the assistant coach for the past three years. Prior to her collegiate coaching experience, Jones-Morin worked as a club coach for the Intermountain Region, high school varsity coach, and coached at various Utah volleyball camps. This will be her first year as a Nike Volleyball Camp Director.
“We are very excited to have Jones-Morin running our new volleyball camp,” says Siera Love, VP of Nike Volleyball Camps. “With her extensive volleyball knowledge, players will establish a solid foundation in the sport they love.”
This volleyball camp will offer two different camp sessions for girls, ages 10-17, to choose from. An All Skills camp is set to run July 25-27. Under the instruction of Jones-Morin, campers will develop proper mechanics through live action game play and a series of drills in an open and competitive environment.
The second session will be a combination of the All Skills Camp and Position Specialty Camp, set to run July 28-Aug 1. The first three days of camp will work on all aspects of volleyball, while the last day of camp offers players the opportunity to receive specialized instruction on the latest techniques in a specific position of their choosing.
At the University of Utah, campers have the option to choose from the overnight, extended, and day programs, with extended and overnight campers eating in the dining halls on campus at the University of Utah.
