Schreiner has helped veteran head coach Julie Woodward lead the Redhawks to five 12-win seasons in his past seven years including their highest Division I win total (17-3-2) in 2013. In 2011, his final year before promotion to associate head coach, Schreiner helped the Redhawks earn one of the biggest victories in program history, defeating then-No. 8 Portland. In 2013 and 2014, he was a key part of Seattle U’s undefeated conference season (2013) and first NCAA Division I Tournament appearance in program history (2013) as well as first DI tournament win (2014). He was a major contributor in the team’s transition to Division I and has been key in their success since the transition.
Prior to joining the SU women's soccer program, Schreiner spent two years as the assistant coach at Saint Bonaventure University.
Before going to Saint Bonaventure, Schreiner spent two years as an assistant coach at Gustavus Adolphus College, assisting with on-the-field training, organization of practice and game plans, strength training, recruiting and travel planning. He started his coaching career as an assistant at Carroll College in 2003.

Camp Director Julie Woodward
Head Women's Soccer Coach 21 Seasons - Seattle U ‘93. "Every year, I look forward to our Nike Soccer Camps. We strive to make every week the greatest, so that our campers enjoy learning and competing, and are inspired to continue playing the beautiful game!"View Julie's Bio ⟩
Julie Woodward has earned the respect of her peers with her style of coaching, which has led to 16 winning seasons. She finishes her 18th season at the helm of the Redhawk women's soccer program in 2014. With such an accomplished coaching resume, Woodward continues to establish herself as the winningest coach in SU women's soccer history with a 247-95-33 overall record (prior to the 2015 season)
Prior to the 2015 season, she was T38th on the winningest Division I head coaches list (by wins) and 22nd by winning percentage.
Woodward led the Redhawks to their second straight WAC Regular Season and Tournament titles in 2014, again defeating Kansas City for the championship and automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. The team took their postseason success a step further with a 2-1 2OT victory at No. 23 Washington State in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament. Academically, Woodward helped lead the Redhawks to their fourth straight NSCAA Team Academic Award for 2013-14 (announced in November 2014). She also coached one of the program's most successful student-athletes in Stephanie Verdoia, who earned Senior CLASS Award and Capital One Academic All-America of the Year honors, among many others.
Our staff consists of outstanding collegiate coaches and student-athletes who are committed to providing the most fun and inspiring learning experience possible!
Seattle University's former two-time NAIA All-American soccer player came home to her alma mater as the head coach of the Redhawks women's soccer program over a decade ago. A native of Seattle, Woodward took over the program after serving three years as an assistant women's soccer coach at the University of Montana.
While the women's soccer program at Seattle University has always been a successful one, Woodward has clearly taken it to a new level in her time as the leader of the Redhawks. Not only has she compiled the program's all-time best coaching record, she has guided the Redhawks to the NAIA regional championship match in five straight seasons before making the move up to the NCAA Division II level.
