My daughter will be sleeping over next time
My daughter had a great experience at this year's camp and can't wait to go again next year and sleep over this time.
Got to work on my pitching
I really liked all the counselors, and meeting new friends. Working with someone special on my pitching was very helpful. Everyone was very nice, and I was not so nervous this year like last year.
Recommend overnight camp t get the full experience
Fun. Felt like I was missing out on a little as a day camper. We suggest that if you do two different weeks of camp, have one week for younger kids (9-12ish) and one week for the older kids (13-18). As an older camper, I would find this more challenging and I think I would learn more.
— Day camper
Loved camp despite the heat
Despite the heat, my daughter loves the softball camp. The counselors were great and she had a lot of fun. During the final day games, perhaps the younger players could play an actual game on the diamond with the respective beginning pitchers, catchers, etc. from the week. Consider extending the day an hour to give them a chance to play as the older kids versus up on the grass with counselors doing the leg work.
Significant improvements on defense
I am the campers parent and my daughter really enjoyed the camp. She has made significant improvements on defense but there wasn't too learned honestly on the offence / hitting side of things. She REALLY needed to have more work on her timing and hitting various speed pitches. I think she still struggles as much with this after camp as she did before.
Fantastic overnight experience
What a fantastic experience for a first overnight camp. Excellent staff, great facility, quality instruction and new, lasting friendships.
— Overnight camper
Great pitching instruction
Pitching instruction was very helpful. Pitching and hitting in game situations would make for an even better experience.
Great encouragement at my daughter's first year of camp
This was my daughters 1st year at camp and she loved it. She got lots of encouragement and feels more confident in her overall skill level. She is looking forward to coming back next year.
Appreciate the coaching
I appreciated all the work the coaches put in to working with me
Staff made me feel welcome
The counselers were great! They made me feel welcome and we had a lot of fun.
I learned new skills from the staff and the other campers.
"The softball camp helped me refresh my softball skills and it gave me the opportunity to learn new ones from both the staff members and the teammates that I played with. I had a great experience and definitely would recommend this camp to others."
— Overnight Camper
My daughter had a great time meeting new friends
"My daughter had a great time meeting new friends. She said the food was great! She had so much fun that she wants to go back next summer."
The camp was amazing.
"The NIKE camp at Amherst was AMAZING! The camp far exceeded our expectations and I will recommend several of the conditioning drills to my Varsity coach so my High School team can benefit from them as well. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXPERIENCE!"
— Overnight Camper
Taught My Daughter More Softball & Being A Young Lady
"I cannot put into words the experience my daughter gained from going to the camp. She not only learned skills in softball but how to be a better young lady. The morals and values the staff brought to the camp were extraordinary. We looked at sending her to another camp and decided on the NIKE Camp for convenience and I am so glad we did. She was going to be a day camper but when we got there she saw some friends and we were able to change her to be an overnight camper. I will highly recommend this camp to anyone who is interested in gaining skills and personal growth. We look forward to next year!!"
"My daughter came home from camp telling us about all these new drills she learned. These drills were creative and helped her learn the correct techniques. We will definitely be sending her back to this camp next year."
Can't wait to bring my teammates!
"I had such a good time at camp that this year I'm bringing some of my teammates! They saw how much I improved and want to improve as well!"
