Nike Softball Camps is excited to return to Salt Lake City. Register today and experience this special opportunity to train under the direction of amazing coaches while making lifelong memories.
Overnight Camp
The overnight program includes instruction, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodation, all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff resides in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. Overnight campers are housed at The University of Utah for the duration of the camp. The camp utilizes Union Park as its training facility.
Day Camp (9:00am – 4:00pm)
The Nike Softball Camp in Salt Lake City also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.
The Nike Softball Camp in Salt Lake City is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. Campers are housed on campus at The University of Utah and are transported by bus to a local softball complex for daily training. The camp is not owned, sponsored, controlled or endorsed by The University of Utah.

Shianne (Shi) Smith is an assistant coach at Lewis & Clark College and serves as a lead coach for Next Athletes and Nike Sports Camps.

Certified Athletic Trainer Kulsum Baig
Kulsum Baig is a certified athletic trainer and handles all athletic training needs for Next Athletes’ Nike Sports Camps. With a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State University and a Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Injury Management from the University of Kentucky, Kulsum has worked with athletes at the high school, collegiate, and clinical levels.

Instruction will focus primarily on hitting, fielding, base-running, and game situations. You can expect high demand for these first come first serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

CAMP INFORMATION
- Age Group: 10-17
- Camp Type: Day Camp (ages 10-17) | Overnight (ages 10-17)
- Meals: All meals are provided for Overnight campers. Lunch is not provided for day campers. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day or cash to buy lunch on campus.
- Parking: Parents will be able to park in the Parking Garage below Dumke Field (map linked)
Camp is closed to spectators during daytime hours. Parents are highly encouraged to attend orientation and the camp closing ceremony!
CAMP TIMES
- Overnight Campers Check-in: 7:30-7:45am at the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center at Westminster University.
- Day Campers Check-in: 8:00-8:15am for day campers at the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center at Westminster University.
- Day Camp Schedule: Monday, 8:00am-4:00pm; Tuesday-Wednesday, 9:00am-4:00pm; Thursday, 9:00am-4:00pm. Check-out is following the 3:30pm closing ceremony.
- Orientation (All Campers): 8:30-8:45am
- All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.
- Last Day Check-out: Following the closing ceremony at 3:30pm on Thursday at the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center at Westminster University.
Please Note: Following camp check-in, overnight campers will store their luggage in a secure room and return immediately to the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center for Orientation. Overnight campers will be transported to The University of Utah in the late afternoon after the first day of training and will check in to their dormitory at that time.
HOUSING
- Dorm: Kahlert Village at the University of Utah
- Number of Campers Per Room: 2 per room
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual and received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Bathrooms: Shared
- Linens: Not included. Bring linens (Twin XL) or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel.
- Air Conditioning: Yes
- Room Key Deposit: Please bring a $145 check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC”
Campers and staff will either be housed on campus at Westminster University or down the street at University of Utah. All campers within each sport will be housed at the same University. Families will be notified which location prior to camp.
PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS
- Both campers and parents are invited to join us from 7:30-8:30pm each night at Alumni Ampitheater for evening seminars. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a collegiate athlete, how to choose the right school, and important sports psychology topics. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.
SUPERVISION
The staff reside in the dormitories with the campers and participate in all activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.

Both campers and parents are invited to join us from 7:30-8:30pm each night at Behnken Field House for evening seminars. Guest speakers include college coaches, college recruiting experts, current and former collegiate athletes, and our sports psychology director.

Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by ability, age, and experience, per the Director's discretion.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
TRAVEL
Nike Softball Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT
If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
