at Nike Contact Football Camps

Nike Contact Football Camps is excited to return to Salt Lake City, UT in 2026. Hosted at Westminster University, campers have a unique opportunity to train under the direction of amazing coaches, experience campus life, and make lifelong memories.

Overnight Camp

The overnight program includes training from experienced coaches, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodations. all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff reside in the dormitories in rooms adjacent to the campers and provide supervision throughout the camp. Overnight campers are housed in the dormitories at Westminster University.

Day Camp (9:00am-4:00pm)

The Nike Football Camp in Salt Lake City also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.

Nike Sports Camp Experience

At Westminster University, Nike Sports Camps offers a unique experience with many sports (Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Golf, Softball, and Swim) operating simultaneously. During the day, the athletes receive sport-specific coaching within their sport focus. In the evening, overnight campers across all sports come together for a special camp-wide experience which includes fun field games, educational seminars, and more.

Transportation

Campers may be transported by bus to a local athletic facility for training. The camp plans to use a mix of Westminster University’s Dumke Field and the Highland High School Football Field.

The Nike Football Camp in Salt Lake City is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. This year, we will not be utilizing University of Utah and all campers and staff will be housed at Westminster University. Athletic facilities and coaches are subject to change. The camp is not owned, sponsored, controlled or endorsed by Westminster University.

    Joe Wittmer

    Football Director

    Joe Wittmer is the offensive line and strength & conditioning coach at East LA College and serves as a football director for Next Athletes and Nike Football Camps. Coach Wittmer previously coached at his alma mater, University of La Verne, and Warner High School where he was the run game coordinator.

    Wittmer’s journey in the sport began at Warren High School, where he played under legendary head coach Raul Lara. As a player, he learned firsthand the values of toughness, preparation, and accountability—qualities that continue to shape his coaching philosophy. Following a successful high school career, he continued his playing days at Pasadena City College before transferring to the University of La Verne. At La Verne, Wittmer further developed his technical knowledge and passion for the game, gaining a deeper understanding of offensive line play and the physical and mental demands required of student-athletes.

    As a coach, Wittmer emphasizes discipline, toughness, and technical excellence in the trenches. His approach blends his firsthand experience as a collegiate athlete with a commitment to building strong, physical offensive lines that drive the success of the run game. He takes pride in developing players not just on the field, but also in their character and leadership, ensuring they are prepared for success in football and in life.

    Beyond the field, Wittmer is deeply rooted in his family and community. He values time with his loved ones and is active in his church, where he finds fulfillment in giving back and staying connected. His ability to balance his passion for football with his devotion to family and faith adds depth to his role as a mentor and leader for his players.

    Wittmer enters this season committed to bringing energy, accountability, and steady leadership to the East Los Angeles College football program, with the goal of continuing to build strong, disciplined offensive lines that set the foundation for team success.

    Gabe Brown

    Assistant Football Coach, Carroll College

    Gabe Brown is an assistant football coach at Carroll College and works with the defensive line. Coach Brown has many years of experience coaching youth football and is excited to share his expertise with campers.

    Coach Brown has been coaching football since 2008 where he got his start as an offensive line coach at Sentinel High School in Missoula. After that Coach Brown has had multiple stops at Frenchtown High as a defensive line coach and as an associate head coach and defensive coordinator at Corvallis High School. In 2018 Coach Brown was fortunate to get the opportunity to become the head football coach at Eagle Valley High School in western slope Colorado until 2021. For the past three seasons Coach Brown has been the defensive line coach at Carroll College in Helena, MT. Coach Brown was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN where he was a four year starter in high school before going on to play offensive line in college.

    Lead Coach

    Jeremiah Wittmer is the linebackers coach at East Los Angeles College and serves as a lead coach for Next Athletes’ Nike Football Camps. Coach Wittmer formerly played Division III football for University of La Verne which competes in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC).

    Lou Davis is the wide receivers coach for East Los Angeles College and serves as a lead coach for Next Athletes’ Nike Football Camps.

    Born and raised in College Park, Georgia, Coach Davis built his football foundation at Westlake High School in Atlanta, where he was a four-year letterman and two-year starter at cornerback, graduating in 2006. He went on to walk on at Fort Valley State University as a freshman before closing out his playing career the following year. In 2017, Davis began his career in sports performance training, working to develop athletes both on and off the field. His coaching journey started at Bernstein High School in Hollywood, CA, in 2018 as the Wide Receivers/Defensive Backs Coach. By 2020, he was promoted to Defensive Coordinator, where he helped elevate the program’s competitiveness. In 2023, Davis joined East Los Angeles College as the Wide Receivers Coach, bringing his passion for player development, technical skill building, and mentorship to the Huskies program.

    Kayla Neff serves as site director for Next Athletes (operators of Nike Sports Camps) and is currently an assistant coach for Biola University Softball. Kayla is the main point of contact for parents across all sports at camp.

    Kayla Neff is entering her fourth year as the assistant coach for Biola University Softball where she was a standout athlete. During her time at Biola, Kayla helped Biola Softball reach the NCAA Division II National Championship and was named to the NCAA Division II All-Tournament Team. Kayla was also acknowledged for the awards below:

    • Earned All-Pacific West First Team recognition
    • Nominated by Biola University for the NCAA Woman of the Year Award
    • Earned Biola's prestigious Dr. Dave Holmquist Career Achievement Award
    • Named CoSIDA Academic All-District

    Assistant Site Director

    Payton Brown serves as an assistant site director for Next Athletes and Nike Sports Camps. Payton is currently a Division II baseball coach at Adams State University and is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration. Payton supports all sports and serves as an additional contact for camp families.

    Westy McQueen

    Camp Administrator

    Westy McQueen is the owner and camp director for Next Athletes, operator of the Nike Sports Camps at Boise State University and Westminster University. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, sport development experience for each child. Westy is a Positive Coaching Alliance certified coach, Level II U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach, and specializes in a variety of sports including tennis, volleyball, soccer, golf, and football.

Camp Details

Please note: UPPERS ONLY camp. Contact drills, but no tackling. Wrap up and form only. There is no rental equipment available. Each camper will need to bring their own equipment.

CAMP INFORMATION

  • Last Day Check-Out: 4:00pm on Thursday at the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center at Westminster University.
  • Meals: Meals are provided for overnight campers only. Day campers are required to bring their own lunch each day.
  • Apparel: All campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.

OVERNIGHT CAMP

The overnight program includes instruction, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodation, all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff resides in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. Overnight campers are housed at Westminster University for the duration of the camp. The camp plans to use Highland High School as its training facility.

    • After overnight campers check in, parents and campers will receive their room keys and will move into their rooms prior to Orientation.
    • Campers should arrive at check-in dressed in their athletic apparel and ready to train.

Housing Information: The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change.

  • Dorm: Olwell Hall (apartment-style units with five and six single rooms per unit)
  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
  • Bathrooms: Shared
  • Linens: Not included. Bring linens (Twin XL) or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel.
  • Air Conditioning: Yes
  • Room Key Deposit: $120

PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS

Both campers and parents are invited to join us for educational seminars on Tuesday evening. The location and schedule will be announced prior to camp. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a collegiate athlete, how to choose the right school, and more. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.

  • Two jerseys (one light/one dark)

  • Football Cleats (NO metal-tip cleats) & Running or Athletic Shoes

  • Please label all luggage and athletic equipment with an easily identifiable tag which has the camper’s full name and contact info

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRAVEL

Nike Football Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.

TEAM/GROUP DISCOUNT

If you have a team or group of 5 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper may be eligible for a discount. To receive the group discount, please have someone email US Sports Camps at [email protected] with the following information: Camp name, list of camper names, and the number of campers. We will respond with a unique discount code for everyone in the group to use during online registration. *Note: Discount amounts vary by program, so please reach out for more details.
