Nike Swim Camps is thrilled to offer a new camp at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo this summer. Hosted at Cal Poly's Anderson Swim Center, the camp combines elite-level stroke technique instruction with an unforgettable summer camp experience! Next Athletes, operator of the Nike Sports Camps at Cal Poly, provides the ideal environment to learn from collegiate coaches while making memories to last a lifetime.
The coaching staff is composed of college coaches from renowned institutions, experienced youth coaches, and collegiate athletes who are committed to helping campers improve their stroke technique and create memories that last a lifetime. This three-night/four-day camp is coed, and open to campers ages 10-17.
OVERNIGHT CAMP
The overnight program includes instruction, training, fun games, overnight accommodations, all meals, FUN evening activities and more. Our amazing staff resides in the dorms in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp.
DAY CAMP (9:00AM – 4:00PM)
The Nike Swim Camp at Cal Poly also offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only. The schedule is modified on the first and last days of camp.
The Nike Swim Camp at Cal Poly is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. For your safety and benefit, we recommend you have competitive swimming experience (e.g. U.S.S. age group, national qualifiers, high school swimmers, or summer league swimmers) and can swim at least 50 meters in all four competitive strokes: fly, back, breast and freestyle.

Camp Details
SECURE YOUR SPOT!
You can expect high demand for these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early. This summer, the camp at Westminster University is offering one session of overnight with a day camp (9:00am-4:00pm) option for boys and girls, ages 10-17. Upon arrival at camp, campers are placed into groups with other swimmers with similar ages and ability levels. Our camp staff will do their best to accommodate every camper’s needs, with consideration of their experience and desire to improve.

- Check-in: OVERNIGHT campers check-in between 7:30-8:00am on Sunday at TBA. There will be camp staff at the entrance to direct you. Overnight campers will check into their dorm prior to arrival. DAY campers should arrive between 8:00-8:30am at TBA. There will be a camp orientation at 8:30am following check-in which we highly encourage the parent or guardian to attend. Parents are welcome to depart following orientation.
- Check-out: A closing ceremony will take place at the Anderson Aquatic Center at 12:00pm on Wednesday. Day Campers will be picked up immediately following the closing ceremony. Overnight campers check-out from the dorm immediately following orientation.
- Day Schedule: SUN 8AM-3:45PM, MON-TUE 9AM-3:454PM, WED 9AM-NOON **Times subject to change
- Meals: All meals are provided for Overnight campers. Meals are not provided for Day campers: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed lunch OR cash to buy lunch on campus.
- Program: The Stroke Technique program is designed to provide competitive swimmers with a better understanding of swimming fundamentals. Stroke refinement along with constructive feedback will be the focus of the camp and allows each participant to gain a greater knowledge of proper stroke mechanics and ways to improve themselves individually.
- Parent/Camper Seminars: Both campers and parents are invited to join us from 7:30-8:30pm each night for evening seminars. Guest speakers include college coaches, college recruiting experts, current and former collegiate athletes, and our sports psychology director.

CAMP CHECK-IN

- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual and received no later than 14 days before the start of camp. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!

- Linens: Not provided. Please bring twin XL sheets or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase and a towel.

SUPERVISION
The staff reside in the dormitories with the campers and participate in all activities. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund. Note: Camp is closed to spectators during daytime hours. Parents are highly encouraged to attend orientation and the camp closing ceremony!

TRANSPORTATION

Anderson Aquatics Center
Anderson Aquatics Center features a 20-lane Olympic-size pool, measuring 50 meters in length, with a depth that ranges from 4 feet to 7 feet 6 inches. The pool temperature is maintained between 79 and 81 degrees. It is equipped with an accessible ramp and transfer bench, as well as a PAL (Portable Aquatic Lift) to ensure accessibility for all swimmers. Additionally, a variety of aquatic gear is available for use, including kickboards, pull buoys, and water jogging belts.

How are swimmers grouped at camp?
Upon arrival, campers are placed in groups with other swimmers having similar abilities and goals. Our camp staff will do their best to accommodate your needs, keeping in consideration your experience and desire to improve.
