Nike Soccer Camps
Nike Soccer Camps is excited to offer a new location at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2026! Register today and enjoy elite-level training while making memories to last a lifetime. The camp offers a unique opportunity to train under the direction of passionate coaches and current and former collegiate athletes who serve as counselors. The camp is co-ed and open to athletes ages 8-17.
Overnight Camp
Our overnight camp at Cal Poly offers an immersive, on-campus experience where campers reside in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the camp staff while training during the daytime hours. The tuition includes all training, housing, meals, fun evening activities, as well as college recruiting seminars on Tuesday evening (parents are encouraged to attend the seminars!).
Day Camp (9:00am – 4:00pm)
Nike Soccer Camps also offers a summer day camp program for athletes who do not wish to stay overnight. This program runs 9:00am-4:00pm each day and includes daytime training only. Campers can bring their own lunch or purchase on campus.
Nike Sports Camp Experience
At Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Nike Sports Camps offers a unique experience with many sports (Cross Country, Football, Softball, Soccer, Swim, Tennis, and Track & Field) operating simultaneously. During the day, the athletes receive sport-specific coaching within their sport focus. In the evening, overnight campers across all sports come together for a special camp-wide experience which includes fun field games, educational seminars, and more.
The Nike Soccer Camp at Cal Poly SLO is open to any and all entrants and limited only by number, age and gender. Athletic facilities and coaches are subject to change. The camp is not owned, sponsored, controlled or endorsed by Cal Poly SLO.

Kayla Neff serves as site director for Next Athletes (operators of Nike Sports Camps) and is currently an assistant coach for Biola University Softball. Kayla is the main point of contact for parents across all sports at camp.

Assistant Site Director Payton Brown
Payton Brown serves as an assistant site director for Next Athletes and Nike Sports Camps. Payton is currently a Division II baseball coach at Adams State University and is currently pursuing his Masters of Business Administration. Payton supports all sports and serves as an additional contact for camp families.

Camp Administrator Westy McQueen
Westy McQueen is the owner and camp director for Next Athletes, operator of the Nike Sports Camps at Boise State University and Westminster University. Westy has over 10 years of experience operating youth programs and has designed the Next Athletes programs with the purpose of providing a truly memorable, sport development experience for each child. Westy is a Positive Coaching Alliance certified coach, Level II U.S. Kids Golf Certified Coach, and specializes in a variety of sports including tennis, volleyball, soccer, golf, and football.

- Meals: Meals are provided for overnight campers. Day campers are required to bring their own lunch daily

CAMP INFO:
The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change each year. Please note: camp is closed to spectators during daytime hours. Parents are highly encouraged to attend orientation and the closing ceremony!
OVERNIGHT CAMP
The overnight program includes instruction, fun games and competitions for prizes, overnight accommodation, all meals, fun evening activities, and more. The camp staff resides in the dormitories in adjacent rooms to the campers and provides supervision throughout the camp. Overnight campers are housed at Boise State University for the duration of the camp.
- Check-in: On the first day of camp, check-in will be between 7:30-8:00am.
- Check-in Location: Cal Poly Track & Field Complex
- Check out: On the last day of camp, check-out is at 4:00pm at Cal Poly Track & Field Complex
- Meals: Day 1: Lunch, Dinner | Days 2-3: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Day 4: Breakfast, Lunch
PARENT/CAMPER SEMINARS
Both campers and parents are invited to join us from 6:30-7:30pm on Nights 2 & 3 of camp for evening seminars. Seminar topics will include college recruiting, expectations of a collegiate athlete, how to choose the right school, and more. We also offer opportunities for Q&A with each panel of coaches.
HOUSING
The information below is based on previous years and is subject to change each year.
- Dorm: Tenya Hall
- Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual. If you don't have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
- Bathrooms: Shared
- Linens: Not included. Bring linens (Twin XL) or a sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel.

SUMMER DAY CAMP SCHEDULE & MEALS
This camp offers a day camp program for campers who do not wish to stay overnight. This option includes instruction and daytime activities only.
- Day Camper Drop-Off (Monday): 8:15-8:45am at Cal Poly Track & Field Complex
- Day Camper Drop-Off (Tue-Thurs): 8:45-9:00am at Cal Poly Track & Field Complex
- Day Camper Pick-Up (Every Day): 4:00pm at Cal Poly Track & Field Complex
- Parking: Parents can use the Grand Avenue Parking Structure for all drop-offs and pick-ups. Parking is free.
- Meals: Lunches are not provided for day campers.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE FEE?
- Instruction: Daytime training sessions
- Overnight campers: Dormitory housing on campus, evening activities and all meals
- Day campers: Instruction and daytime activities only. Lunch is not included
- Supervision: Staff members reside in adjacent rooms to the overnight campers and participate in all activities
- Camp T-shirt: Campers at multi-day camps will receive a Nike Soccer Camp t-shirt

Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, ability, and experience

Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money. Please label all luggage/equipment with an easily identifiable tag with the camper's full name and contact info.
OVERNIGHT CAMPERS
- Weather-appropriate clothing for 3 nights/4 days
- 1-2 pairs of broken-in soccer cleats
- Shin guards
- Running shoes
- Water bottle
- Sunblock
- Comfortable off-court clothing (pants/shorts, shirts, sweatshirts, 1 pair/day)
- Small gym bag/backpack
- Pajamas
- Bathrobe
- Flip flops
- Laundry bag
- Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, facewash, hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.)
- Swimsuit and easily identifiable towel
- Personal items & medications
- Eye mask, ear plugs (optional)
- Washcloth and bath towel
- Fan (optional)

- Sunglasses
- Linens (twin XL sheets & blankets or sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase)

- Signed Heath & Release forms and waivers (forms completed online do not need to be printed and turned in at camp)
- Please label all luggage and athletic equipment with an easily identifiable tag which has the camper’s full name and contact info
- Room Key Deposit of $100 (please bring a check made out to “Next Athletes, LLC” on the first day of camp)
DAY CAMPERS
Checklist of Things to Bring: We recommend Day Campers bring a daily pack with the following items:
- Extra athletic clothing
- 1-2 pairs of broken-in soccer cleats
- Running shoes
- Shin guards
- Water bottle
- Sunblock
- Small gym bag/backpack
- Packed lunch
- Extra spending money ($50) and any other appropriate clothing for that day’s activities which will be described to you on the first day of camp.
SOCCER BALLS
Nike Soccer Camp Balls can be purchased during registration. Players can choose between a size 3, 4 or 5 ball, which will be shipped out before camp. Shipping is included in the listed price. Please note that it is not required to bring a soccer ball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction. All sales are final.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided to/from camp. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time. If there is a need for additional facilities, we may conduct camp nearby at an off-campus location. In this case, overnight campers will be bussed to this location and day campers will be dropped off and picked up at the destination. Parents will be given notice if this is the case.
