Tip
Improving Your Times
Thousands of runners attend Nike Running Camps each summer. Athletes leave camp with new skills, friends, and lasting connections. Lindy Long is a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force and an Aircraft Maintenance Officer in the 4th Airlift Wing at McChord Field in Tacoma, Washington. At the Air Force Academy Lindy ran xc and indoor & outdoor track.
Increasing Times
- Push yourself to increase training time and distance
- Stay inspired! Don’t let other rigors in your life override your passion for running
- Stay motivated, don’t get discouraged from poor performances
Lindy is currently applying to train full time, her goal is to make the U.S. Olympic team. She credits Nike running Camps saying, “I thoroughly enjoyed each and every Nike camp I went to and want to come back to coach/be a counselor.” Lindy still has close ties with her running coaches from camp. Campers who enroll this summer can expect to train wisely, learn from the best and make new connections that can help them get better!
