Traveling as a soccer player can put a lot of stress on your body. As an elite athlete it is one of your jobs to stay health during all the chaotic activities that go on while traveling. While you travel remember what your body needs to stay in top shape to perform at your best. With this advice it will insure that you stay on top shape. Proper hydration, eating the fruits and vegetables and adequate sleep. Balancing all the necessities while traveling this will let you enjoy your travel but also allow you to come home healthy as well.
Here are Some Strategies to Stay Health and Maximize Your Performance
- Stay Hydrated
- Try not to limit you in take of fluids to avoid the bathrooms
- Bring a water bottle with you and drink 8oz every hour
- Try to avoid sugars drink that will dehydrate you (caffeine or sodas)
- Pack Snack
- Limit foods with high fats foods that are creamy buttery or crispy
- Carry foods that are easy to travel with
- Such as protein bars, nuts, trail mix, dried fruit and crackers
- Stay Clean
