Camp Director
Mike Jordan
Coach Mike Jordan is a “true” Griffin. He was a ball boy in the 70's when Grossmont won a state title under the leadership of All American QB, Joe Roth. In the late 80's he quarterbacked a team that later played in the SD Bowl and was given all conference and all state honors. He accepted a scholarship to San Jose State and then upon graduation joined the Grossmont teaching and coaching staff. In 1994, he took over as offensive coordinator and over the next 16 years developed some of the best offenses in the state. Twice they were #1 rated in the entire state. At that time, eight of his QB‟s, none with offers out of high school, were given scholarships to major universities, including Chad DeGrenier (Washington State), Akili Smith (Oregon) and Jordan Adams (Nebraska). He took over as Grossmont's head coach in 2006. The winning tradition continues: 30 out of 43 games won; 3 post season games and the winning season's extended to 13 straight years.

I learned so much!
"I had a great time! I played the offensive and defensive positions that I wanted. Thank you! The coaches seemed tough at first, but in the end I learned so much. I really appreciate the time the coaches spent with me! I met new friends who will be coming back next year and so will I."
Awesome Accommodations at the Contact Football Camp at the University of San Diego.
"The staff was excellent, very well organized and provided a nice education to the campers about football and life skills. Also what a great venue, awesome accommodations."
After this camp I can't wait for football season!
"This was my first overnight camp and I could not stop talking about it when I returned home. My love for the game was only reinforced when I had the opportunity to attend this camp. I felt that my skill level was increased and cannot wait until the football season starts to show others what I learned and also what they could learn by attending this wonderful camp. I look forward to next season."
Coaches were fantastic role models
"We were so impressed with the professionalism, dedication and organization of the camp. The coaches and counselors were fantastic role models for our son. We were more than impressed! Thanks!"
The campers and coaches were accommodating of all ages
"My son was the youngest camper at the Contact Football Camp at Amherst. Initially I was nervous about him participating, but the camp counselors made sure he was in a group with kids around his same size. He was easily immersed into the games/drills by all. The kids were great and he had a wonderful time. We will be sending him again next year."
